"Horror Express" 27 September 2011

I just added the Jurassic Park box set to my Amazon wish list and one of the recommendations I got was for Horror Express. The specs list shows a 1.66:1 aspect ratio and it appears to be a 2-disc Blu/DVD combo. According to a review posted, bonus features will include interviews with the director, Telly Savalas and Peter Cushing (audio only for Cushing) and a featurette on the McCarthy era, as well as a new introduction, the original trailer and an Easter egg of some kind.

I watched this for the first time last year for the Horror Challenge off a 2-disc set of Christopher Lee/Vincent Price movies and loved it. My only problem was that the video quality appeared as though someone had taped it off a TV broadcast. If this Blu-ray release looks right, it could easily become a gem in my library.

List price is $29.98; Amazon's pre-order price is currently $20.99

Ah. I looked through titles, but I had no idea what the hell Severin was. Mods can delete this thread if they'd like.

Personally, I prefer threads specific to each film for precisely this reason.
