Question about Blu-Ray steelbooks

I'm talking about buying actual steelbook covers separately for a small fee, because I've got a few movies I'd like to have in steelbook form and I figured maybe there is a place online where people sell them individually. So can anyone help me out here and tell me where I can buy individual steelbook covers from?

Re: Question about Blu-Ray steelbooks

I don't know of anyone or anywhere selling 'just' the steelbook case. You gotta buy the movie itself with it.

Re: Question about Blu-Ray steelbooks

I've only ever heard of somebody selling empty Steelbook cases once, and that's Amazon.de, and it was only DVD-size.

(I can't post the URL, but search for "scanavo")

I'm not sure if they will ship to the US, but if you REALLY want them, it might be an option if you can't find them anywhere else.

Steelbook and small fee usually do not go together in the same sentence. The only time when they don't cost much or are essentially free is when Bestbuy gives them away as part of the preorder for the actual movie (e.g., Up, Snow White, LotR, TS3, BatB - ok, the last three aren't really steelbooks).

I'm pretty sure that you can get plain steelbooks (without the movie's artwork on them), but I don't know that you can buy actual movie steelbooks.

Re: Question about Blu-Ray steelbooks

If you go on eBay and type in the words "Steelbook Case Only", there are usually a few listed.

I guess some of them are OOP because they sometimes sell for more than the movie and the case did brand new.
