I just picked up a 24" wega tv. It was a floor model and had a horrid picture due to typical showroom settings (brightness, contrast, etc). Can anyone share some tips and hints on a good visual setup for this television? I find that even with the brightness adjusted I find that the black level isn't dark enough? Anyway any tips or any reference websites would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

You should get Avia or Video Essetials to calibrate it. If you have T2 or Fight Club they have some setup options too.
To start off, if the black level on your DVD player is adjustable set it to 0 IRE. That will definately help the black level.
After that turn the sharpness all the way down on the TV. My sharpness looks best all the way down.
The brightness will most likely be set higher than the contrast when it is setup properly. My contrast is about 10% and the brightness is about 60%.
NOTE: I don't have a Wega I am just giving you a starting point.

Isaac -
You might want to check out one of the DVDs that were put together for the purpose of helping people set up their home theater system.
You have a couple of choices, but the one I use (and would recommend) is called Avia Guide to Home Theater. It is a little pricey, but it is worth it.
Good Luck,

It is pretty easy:
1.On disc one pick the film version you want to watch.
2. Go to Sensory Control.
3. The Terminator looks to the left. On his head is Main Menu and THX, click on THX.
4. Adjust your audio and video settings
