Re: The Killing -- Season Finale -- "Orpheus Descending" -- 6/19/11

I liked the show a lot and will definitely be back for more next season. I really like the Holder character a lot and Linden has her moments but she could be better. I think the show has had a pretty good run though but maybe next season they need to work on not building it up so long. I just think by now we should have a solid idea of who the killer actually is and while we have a strong clue who probably did it I get the feeling we could be in for another twist. Then again who knows.

I sure hope Holder doesn't turn out to be the killer.

I am in, as long as there isn't a throw away episode next season where Holder misplaces a bag of Funyons and they spend the whole time looking for it, only to discover it was under a pile of papers on his desk.

I can't wait for all our suspicions to be confirmed that it's Rick, Sarah's creepy fiance.

I loved it. Now that's how you do a cliffhanger. I don't care what anyone else says, I'm going to keep watching because this reminds me so much of Twin Peaks.

Re: The Killing -- Season Finale -- "Orpheus Descending" -- 6/19/11

On one hand I'm happy that it wasn't just the predictable ending of Richmond doing it (I would have ranted long if that's how it ended) but on the other hand I'm really pissed that it ended without finding the killer. I was hoping for a resolution followed by a new case next season. I'm fine with ending a season on a cliffhanger, I went through years of it with Lost, but this cliffhanger just pissed me off.

I don't know if I'll tune in next season. I'll see how I feel when it starts up again. My biggest gripe right now is knowing that we won't find out who the killer is until the end of next season.... and for all we know they'll pull the same shit and push it to the third season.

Is it possible to throw a rock at my TV and just take out AMC?

Re: The Killing -- Season Finale -- "Orpheus Descending" -- 6/19/11

I'm guessing

Spoiler:
Holder was talking to the current mayor????

I'm also thinking
Spoiler:
The girlfriend lied about Richmond being out all night & coming back wet. That would make her the main suspect .

Why am I hiding my thoughts. The episode aired. I should unspoilerize.

The problem is that this show is now back at square one. Literally no closer to solving this murder than episode one.

I think this about sums it up, from the showrunner, just posted now:

TV Guide: Is the murderer someone we've gotten to know already?
Sud: I can't say.
