Lesser-known work from well-known writers?

I am absolutely in love with Rudyard Kipling's The Light that Failed.

Was wondering if anyone else had some under the radar favorites from famous authors.

(Another of my favorite examples is JD Salinger's short stories. Was never a fan of Catcher in the Rye, but the shorts are wonderful.)

As well as "Confession of a Crap Artist", I've enjoyed the posthumously-published non science-fiction work of Philip K Dick.
