MASKS (2011) (dir. Andreas Marschall) (neo-giallo)
Post-production is underway on Masks, a giallo tribute to the well-known work of Italian directors like Mario Bava and Dario Argento.
"The story follows Stella, an ambitious acting student, who’s been accepted to the mysterious "Mateusz Gdula" school. The founder of the school committed suicide when his very special training method got forbidden because of the deaths of several of his students in the '70s.
But when strange things start to happen in the abandoned wing of the school, Stella suspects that Gdula's method is still practiced. And she wants to participate at all costs..."
The film was directed by Andreas Marschall, whose debut feature Tears of Kali won several prices on festivals and was released in all major territories on DVD.

The music in that trailer is from Watch Me When I Kill, one of my favorite giallo soundtracks.

Looks interesting.
Has an old school Argento feel to it (Deep Red, Inferno, Tenebre & especially Suspiria).
Hope it lives up to expectations.
