Synopsis:

Spoiler:
On the eve of Rajiv's (Rizwan Manji) upcoming nuptials, Todd (Ben Rappaport) decides to throw him an American bachelor party. Running into obstacles, Todd must get creative with the evenings entertainment, but a surprise visitor shocks the partygoers. Meanwhile, Manmeet (Sacha Dhawan) is nervously awaiting the arrival of his American girlfriend and Madhuri's (Anisha Nagarajan) secret crush is revealed.

Episode 21 of 22

Next week is most likely the series finale.

Remember this show? This is the forgotten NBC sitcom. Moving it to 10:30pm essentially killed it.

I think the fact that the show sucked is what killed it.

NBC could easily do an amazing block Thursday nights of Community, Parks and Rec, Office and 30 Rock... but I figure they might as well throw some new comedies in there maybe something will stick.

*shrug* it got funnier as the season progressed. Certainly better than Perfect Couples and the Paul Reiser show.

Moving it to 10:30 was definitely its undoing, it was retaining more of The Office's audience than Parks and Rec does now (well, I guess actually they're about even), and that was during the initial crop of weaker episodes. Put anything on after The Office and it seems to survive.

Have you watched any of the 20 episodes since the Pilot? I know there were many here who hated the Pilot and didn't bother with it afterwards. IMO, the show has found a groove and it actually pretty funny. Losing The Office as a lead-in hurt and moving it to 1030pm where most people watch 1 hour dramas hurt it even more. 30 Rock's ratings have sucked since it moved to 10pm, but it stays on the air because it's essentially a self promotional show for NBC.

30 Rock still generally pulls a 2.0 or higher in 18 - 49 at 10:00 so it isn't hurting THAT bad.

I was one of those who didn't like the pilot and I think it has better than both 30 Rock and the Office many times since then - mainly due to Rajiv and Gupta. I was hoping they would put it on in Reiser's time slot so it would get more viewers, but since they didn't, it is likely the end. I wouldn't think the show costs a lot to produce since there are no big names in it.

And it's not shot on location either.

The show has definitely gotten better since the pilot with the characters developing beyond stereotypical jokes, etc.

Hopefully this show will be a good springboard for the cast.

Re: Outsourced -- "Rajiv ties the Baraat" -- 5/05/11

It was a pretty good show. I won't necessarily miss it when it goes but I will believe that it deserved to stay on at least another year in a better timeslot to prove that it could get and keep an audience. It was doing just fine after The Office.

30 Rock isn't doing too bad at 10 because it already had a built in audience that would follow it anywhere because it's had a good amount of time to gain traction. Outsourced didn't have that - seeing as how it was doing pretty good getting sampled after The Office and getting just as good or better ratings than Parks & Rec does now.

In the last airing of Outsourced it even received higher ratings and demo than Community.

It deserves to stay based on that.

For some reason, I thought it had already been picked up for another reason. I guess I was mistaken.

I have enjoyed it.

The characters of Rajiv and Madhuri have been the best of the show.

Madhuri, in particular, showed a genuine growth of character from mousy unknown background character to a well-spoken lead.

I am going to miss this show, honestly.

Wrong, shows like perfect couples , happy endings, better with you, traffic light are generic same old same old. Tis show is different, aout different culture that's what killed it. Plus the time change.

I'm not expecting this show to get renewed, I'll definitely miss it though. This should have been on at the 8:30 spot, instead of the craptastic Perfect Couples and Paul Reiser show.

I'm suprised this isn't being picked up by a network in India and sold back to NBC/somebody as a cheap import.

Bummer that it's ending, I thought it was pretty good. The other I'll miss is Traffic Light..I'm shocked some similar new shows are doing better than that one.
