I have one and it has an incredibly wonderful picture. The line doubler is fantastic which really helps since I don't have a progressive player. I'd be curious to see if a progressive player helps anything since the picture is so good and I've read that you should think twice before paying extra for a progressive player with this set.

Regular NTSC broadcasts and satellite are the best I've seen anywhere and I think most everyone agrees with me about those sources. No matter how close I get to the set I've never seen a scan line. Good signals look great, bad signals look crappy.

If you only watch progressive DVD or HDTV you can probably get a cheaper set. Their picture MAY be close to the 510's in only that mode and I believe newer Toshiba's don't lock into full mode the way the 510 does. Not sure about the Panasonic.

I keep hearing about problems with Toshiba sets, very few with Pioneer, and don't know about Panasonic. The 510 has 72 convergence points and, once set, it stays converged! Very little tweaking is needed, but easy to do if you want.

Oh yeah, I really like it!
