For weeks, the first three Scream movies were listed as "Coming soon to Watch Instantly"... then it switched to "Coming May 1st to Watch Instantly". But when May 1st actually came, the message is gone and there's no option to stream the Scream movies. Did something go wrong with the Miramax deal? I'm asking because I've been reading online that the first big flux of Miramax on Netflix streaming was to start May 1st, including Pulp Fiction, Chasing Amy, the Scream movies, etc...

It's kind of making me nuts because my friends and I have been holding out on Scream 4 BECAUSE Netflix said the first three were going to stream on May 1st, so we planned to watch them and then go see 4. Didn't want to do the DVD's because they're out on Blu Ray (but Netflix and Blockbuster are not carrying the blu-rays), so we were just hoping that the streaming would be in HD... but it's not streaming when they said it would be.

Anyone have any insight on this?

No info...but if you and each of your friends throw down $7.99 each you can buy them on blu-ray at Best Buy right now - cheaper then what your each going to pay to see Scream 4, and you get to keep them.

Blame the studio. They're the ones that control what Netflix is allowed to stream.

Yeah, that sucks, which is why I'll stick to physical media as long as it's around.

Netflix just signed a deal with Miramax today. Looks like the Scream series, along with a bunch of other Miramax titles will hit instant streaming in June.
