How wonderful!

Gonna be hard to top last week's "what the fuck?!" factor, but I'm looking forward to this.

After blazing through all 3 seasons in a couple of weeks the wait between these final 3 episodes is gonna be tough. And then the long summer break

From what I read, they are going to answer everything about the device, alt-universe and such in these next 3 episodes.

They need to cut out the romantic crap. Other than that good episode.

I liked it, but it seemed somewhat of a filler episode. Outside of fauxlivia trying to save both worlds, nothing really moved forward.

I thought the same, it seems like they are getting everything in place for the final 2.

I don't know about that - alot of stuff seemed to have happened:
- Biggest: the machine turned on and is starting to destroy our world
- Sam Weiss coming into play
- As you pointed out: Faulivia coming to the realization of what Walternate is doing and comes into play against him on the other side
- Best of all: Olivia's look at seeing naked Walter... (it would make an awesome animated gif!)

It's definitely a mythology episode, and no where close to being a filler one.

Re: Fringe -- "6:02 AM EST" -- 4/22/11

stuff happened in the episode yeah.. but the episode was boring and the ending had no excitement

i'll rewatch and see if it's better the 2nd time around

i think yesterday was just a bad tv day for me cuz i also watched smallville and that reminded me of a few seasons ago where i got fed up of the stupid writing (this episode had a point too, but still the main story that delivered the point sucked)

Re: Fringe -- "6:02 AM EST" -- 4/22/11

Seems like a "tieing up of loose ends" episode. Or "getting things out of the way".
The machine is on now, and we know how Walternate did it, and what the machine does. That's out of the way.
Faulivia is on our side. Probably all the other Fringe Division guys too. That's out of the way.
Sam Weiss comes out in the open. That's out of the way.
I'm betting they wrap things up and go a whole new direction for the next season.
The next two episodes(with cliffhanger) and first episode of next season will have Sam and Peter using the machine to fix the rifts between universes and shut machine off. Exit Sam and machine.
Fringe division break Faulivia out of cell. Either Walternate dies or they die. Maybe Charlie comes to our universe. Either way exit all other universe characters.
Maybe the machine opens a third universe for next season.
They've played all their cards in the conflict between the two universes. Nowhere to go except spend the whole next season trying to shut the machine off which would get old fast.

I thought the episode wasn't bored at all - the stakes are being raised in a major way and I was enthralled the whole time. Sure, the next two eps will have the real juicy stuff, but it thought this one did a good job of setting events into motion.

Fox’s already renewed Fringe dropped 14 percent to a series-low 1.2 demo rating, drawing 3.5 million total viewers.

I'm still wagering there's a third universe...

What I've read is they're operating under the model that there are many universes, but the problems so far are between these two.

Re: Fringe -- "6:02 AM EST" -- 4/22/11

I love the IDEA of showing another Universe, but I fear we're going to run into the same set-up that was done before - someone gets trapped over there and we spend half of season 4 in that new Universe.

It's just too much of the same for me. As much as I've enjoyed the two Universes I think it's time for Fringe to move onto something else.

Hmmm...nothing more about "he's the man who is going kill me."

Let's wait and see IF that happens before complaining about it.

I think he might be season 4. Just a guess.

Re: Fringe -- "6:02 AM EST" -- 4/22/11

I don't think it'll take much time for Peter and Olivia to connect the dots as to how Walternate turned on the machine. He needed Peter's DNA and the only chance would be through an offspring.

Faulivia stole two of those devices. I wasn't clear if the guy was lying about them or she just didn't have time to get it started. I wonder if she was able to hide one up her sleeve or something before they grabbed her. Maybe she can figure it out from the cell and get out of there.

He was lying. Our Olivia didn't use those when she crossed over or back, and Fauxlivia didn't have one with her when she was pulled back and replaced by Broyels.

I don't understand the whole "We need Peter's DNA, so his child will work!" thing. His child only has half of his DNA. By that logic, Walter should be able to operate the machine.

I liked it. I didn't think this was a filler episode at all. It was more of a setup episode for the final 2 of the season.

I'm looking forward to seeing the significance of the Sam Weiss character in stopping the Doomsday Device.

Peter is from the other side. Maybe that has something to do with it?

By your theory technically wouldn't it be Walternate's DNA and not Walter's?

Yes I guess they are the same person, but maybe living on each side has some kind of effect and the DNA isn't exact.
