All potential missteps this show has made during the season are forgiven. That shot of cartoon Walter exclaiming "how wonderful!" with a thought bubble was the greatest thing this show has ever done!

"Are you suggesting I die?"

I really liked this episode quite a bit, even dug the animated LSD trip.

Broyles tripping balls was great. So was the animated stuff so Nimoy didn't have to be on camera?

Yeah, they've used that effect for Bell before (Brown Betty, the singing episode).

Great episode, loved how off beat it was.

That was totally epic. Crazy episode! I like that the writers play around with normalcy now and then.

What a ride and I wasn't even on LSD. The cartoon stuff was wild.
So how many versions of herself has Olivia played now?

I like how this show has seemed to just let loose. Anything goes. And thats saying a lot for Fringe.

Broyles: "Drugs?"

Astro: "Yup. [pause] Lot's of 'em."

That ep was a trip.

Loved Broyles analyzing licorice.

"It swirls... and never ends!"

It really was. I loved the scenes where he was just visible in the background, wide eyed with his mouth hanging open. And when he sees the cartoon bird and whistles at Astrid and Walter!

This episode single-handedly cemented why Fringe is my current favorite TV show and also why it will never be a mass-market hit. What insanity thought this stuff up? And tripping Broyles was most definitely the highlight.

Seriously, I never saw this episode coming. I really appreciate how cool and epic the story in this show is, yet there isn't the slightest hint of pretension. It's just a fun ride all around, and this episode really had everything that makes the show great.

I also appreciate how they name the episode after a controversial and misunderstood drug, and have most of the major characters casually dropping superhuman doses without any 'drugs are bad mmkay?' bullshit. Brave for a network TV show.

Only downside to me was the quality of the animation could have been improved. Characters were stiff. It seemed obvious none of the FX people were experienced animators, although it looked great visually.

I thought the style of animation was what they used in a scanner darkly?
