cars question

This is kind of an obscure question and maybe no one will know but I figured I'd give it a shot. Does anyone know where these two clips were filmed? It looks early on of course. I was wondering if it was for some sort of tv show?

Re: cars question

No clue, but I noticed on the YouTube page that The Cars are on tour (in Chicago May 18th). Thanks!

Re: cars question

oh I figured someone posted about that already. I'd see them at Roseland Ballroom in NY but it's kind of a dump, considering it.

Re: cars question

Not sure, but my guess would be somewhere in their hometown of Boston - or somewhere there about. Granted, I was never in any of those venues back in the late 70's, but it looks bigger than the Paradise or The Middle East. Possibly the old Avalon (which is now the House Of Blues)?

Re: cars question

WOW, I have no idea but I saw them at the Fox here in St. Louis in '78. It was weird, they would take a pause between every song as if they weren't used to playing live. Also back then you never saw Punk or Gothic type people in public but at that concert they came out of nowhere and filled the theater.

It was more like a party than a concert.

One of my favorites bands.
