Tron: 20th Anniversary -VS- 2011 Release!
Tron: 20th Anniversary -VS- 2011 Release!
Has anybody here compared these two DVD releases?
I was wondering if purchasing the newer 2011 release on DVD was worth it for an image upgrade (other than having a digital copy).
The "Tron: 20th Anniversary" came on two DVD's with the second DVD full of extras.

Re: Tron: 20th Anniversary -VS- 2011 Release!
Everything that I have read and seen seem that the "2011 DVD" is just a carry over from the two disc "20th Anniversary 2002" release as far as features.
Did Disney remaster the movie disc?
It seems there might be one feature on the "2011 DVD" second disc which is not on the "20th Anniversary 2002" second disc, but then there are features listed on the "20th Anniversary 2002" not listed on the "2011 DVD" set, where they could just be re-named ''on packaging'' but on disc they were the same as has happened on other DVD re-releases.
[Just as a side note I purchased the 5-Disc Blu-Ray "Legecy" which has "Tron" as a Blu-Ray but not a DVD, this is the second 3D Blu-Ray that I have purchased and do not even have play back hardware yet, waiting for a glasses standard and price of the glasses to come down!]

Get the blu-ray if you can. I got the combo pack and compared the BR vs DVD and the BR version looks so much better!

I'm assuming Disney used the new transfer, because Disc 1 also includes the new extra. I imagine Disc 2 is identical to the older pressing.
