It's weird hearing Within Temptation used to promote this show.

Out of all the original shows that Showtime greenlights, this looks quite expensive like The Tudors. Surprised they greenlit an odd number of episodes (9)

I read Alan Sepinwall's review of this show and he's not a fan at all. He also said he wasn't a fan of The Tudors either.

^ Yeah, saw that the other day. I follow Sepinwall's reviews quite closely, so was a bit disappointed to hear this. Either way, I plan to check it out and judge for myself.

I personally enjoyed it. a tad slow, but aren't most pilots that way when they have to set everything up for the remainder of the series?

Surprisingly this did quite well. 1.06M for the 9-11pm airing. 1.49 with the 11pm encore.

I'll try to get around to this sometime today. There was alot of stuff last night.

I thought it was pretty good. I was a bit surprised how sympathetically Rodrigo Borgia was presented, though. With his Cesare and Micheletto running around getting all of the blood on their hands while dad maintains plausible deniability.

It's a subject/era that I didn't think I'd enjoy, but I thought this was pretty good. Jeremy Irons was great.
