I really liked this season. Didn't fall in love with it but I'm already excited for season 2.

No wonder why Steve never saw Fiona at the airport, he told her O'Hare yet was at Midway. Not just a Chicago hometown nitpick since they clearly panned down from the Midway nameplate.

Besides that, I like the show and will be back next season.

I thought that was what he said, but was too lazy to rewind the DVR to check. You'd think they would have fixed that in post - you often see different names in the closed captions than you hear in the soundtrack.

I wouldn't say I "loved" the show, but I enjoyed it quite a lot.

And it's "DVDs", not "DVD's", by the way.

I feel like there should be a poll option between "Loved It! Best New Show!" and "Meh". It wasn't perfect by any means, but I liked it quite a bit and will be back.

Re: Shameless -- Season Finale -- "Father Frank, Full of Grace" -- 3/27/11

I'll check out Season 2. Was really bumming for a while there when it seemed like all the show was about was people dressing up and pretending to be someone else or getting someone to dress up and pretend to be someone else to get out of a bill or avoid some collectors or something.

What kept me watching was the Chicago setting (lived there for about 8 years, so it's fun to see that familiar environment), and Fiona's boobs. But the last few episodes did get pretty good, so I'll be back. I would ask one thing, though. For crap's sake, tame down the shaky-cam. Being dizzy while watching TV isn't really fun.

That seriously drove me nuts!

Anyhow, I loved the show and can't wait for season two. My favorite new show of the past couple years.

I'm sorry to say it but you just might be too old/weak for today's TV and cinema

I never noticed shaky cam on this show.

Great episode, great season.
Loved Frank's "Fair enough" as he stepped back under the stream

I was surprised by the suicide. I guess if he had been able to get his hands on Frank he probably would have killed him.

Re: Shameless -- Season Finale -- "Father Frank, Full of Grace" -- 3/27/11

Yeah, the suicide was really a defining moment in this episode. Frank has got to be one of the best characters on current TV. William H. Macy's performance, especially last episode after nailing his hand, taking the pain pills on going down to the basement is classic. This show does drag at points, but there is some great acting. And I never noticed the shaky-cam either, and I usually can't stand that??

It was ok. I was a little upset with no nudity from Fiona.

The scene with Deb "telling" Fiona about Steve was big wet fart - such a horrible television cliche.

Yeh that was a little disappointing, but I did like how Deb went to Jimmy's mom and told her about Steve all abruptly haha.

Loved this show. I am bumming that it will be another 9 months (at least) before season 2. This is why I don't get wrapped up in tv series too much... the wait kills me.

Re: Shameless -- Season Finale -- "Father Frank, Full of Grace" -- 3/27/11

Showtime did a great job w/ their finale's last Sunday (this and Californication). This season was up-and-down for me, but ended with a string of solid episodes. The suicide was indeed surprising, but the highlight for me was actually Frank's drunk speech around how men are challenged to fight their natures. Sometimes it takes a drunk to speak words of wisdom.

Finally got around to this finale, loved the season. Nothing like it on tv and glad it was renewed.

Macy was great in this, as were all the kids, excellent show!

Does anyone think this show will be receive any Emmy nominations? I'm not sure what the general critical reaction was. I would expect Macy and Rossum to receive acting nominations if anything. Also, would the show fall under drama or comedy?

I would guess the hour format would probably land it in drama, just because I can't think of another hour-long comedy.

Glee. And Desparate Housewives got its nominations in comedy categories. Also Ally McBeal back in the day.

Just finished watching this... good show, I really liked it. Seeing Emmy Rosum get naked most of the time is always a big plus.

Anyone know what song was playing at the end?

It's "LittleThing" by Jimmy Eat World, in case anyone else cared to know
