Some TV Series on Hulu Plus now "Web Only"
Got a new HDTV recently, and decided to try out Hulu Plus for a little bit.
Launched it tonight, and found several television series that I subscribed to are now available "web only" and not available on Hulu Plus. WTF?
Chuck
How I Met Your Mother
The Simpsons
The Soup
Chelsea Lately
...all show up now with a "Web Only" prompt on the TV screen.

I have Hulu Plus and Chuck have never been available on it. It's always been Web Only with the last 5 episodes posted.
How I Met Your Mother is a CBS show. It's never been available on Hulu Plus.
The only current shows that are available on Hulu Plus are shows that air on FOX, NBC or ABC and are produced by NBC/Universal, 20th Century FOX or ABC Studios. Those studios have stakes in Hulu. There are a few exceptions though like The Simpsons and even Law and Order.
Shows that are produced by different studios like Warner Bros, CBS or air on Cable networks are "Web Only"
The OP is a little misinformed with how Hulu Plus works.

Re: Some TV Series on Hulu Plus now "Web Only"
The practice of making a show available "web only" is what is idiotic. Yes, I understand the rights for different shows are held by different entities. It's still maddening that any rights holder would actually think it wise to mark shows "web only". I'm not talking about giving up access to more than the past 5. I'm talking about creating some idiotic distinction between watching your show on a computer that can be hooked up to a TV versus a set top box of whatever stripe we're speaking of.
