I figured out how it was going to end pretty quickly. My DVR started messing up. I tried to rewind to get a freeze shot of the alternate universe Opus comic strip, but that's when it messed up on me.

Yeah, the moment Fauxlivia was taken, my wife and I figured Walternate would ultimately be responsible for it, in order to make sure Peter Jr. would survive. Still a good episode though, and it's interesting seeing alt-Lincoln and alt-Charlie start to piece things together. Looking forward to seeing where they're going from here.

Re: Fringe -- "Bloodline" -- 3/25/11

the whole chinatown thing distracted me, the people, the old lady in the store

i liked how they brought the cab driver back to move the story

wonder what the blood was for? and why was Fauxlivia's moms looking at the baby like that after they took the blood

what is walternate up to? they reset the point about him not experimenting on children...is he gonna use the blood to clone the baby?

Maybe the baby, or the baby's blood can be used to get the device to operate.

Olivia with chestnut hair is definitely hotter.

So happy this was renewed. Almost guarantees at least a 13 episode pickup in year 5,

Re: Fringe -- "Bloodline" -- 3/25/11

has to be more to it for walternate to do all that

he could have easily told fauxlivia that he can accelerate the baby's birth and prevent her from dieing like her sister instead of an elaborate kidnapping scheme

He probably doesn't give a shit about fauxlivia, just wants the baby. Maybe would have told her it had died, or even killed her.

That makes sense, but I think they should have indicated that more if that was in fact the case. As it was it kind came off as Walternate just being unduly sinister.

No, he starred in it. Jodie Foster directed it.

It would've been better if Fauxlivia had escaped by asking for a drink of water, mirroring our Olivia's escape from a similar situation a couple of seasons ago.

Re: Fringe -- "Bloodline" -- 3/25/11

I thought this episode was good for the most part. So I'm assuming that Walternate is toying with the idea, as some of you have said, of using the baby as a substitute for his Doomsday device.

However, the whole Chinatown sequence with Fauxlivia's escape didn't really work for me. It started out kind of cool with it looking like some kind of ghost town and then that whole group showed up and fell flat when Lincoln and Henry came to help Fauxlivia give birth. Plus, Lincoln professing his love for Fauxlivia was just cheesy. The lab where Fauxlivia was being held had a sinister tone, but I don't think they gave it a good payoff.

It was cool seeing Henry again. Hopefully he will get a chance to re-united with the Olivia that he actually helped.

Re: Fringe -- "Bloodline" -- 3/25/11

probably will just make a shapeshifter with the dna, basically a clone of peter

that way he won't have to experiment on children...

---

oh yeah are they trying to introduce the female doctor-kidnapper lady, she got alot of camera time maybe we'll see more of her in the future

But.. I may be misremembering this... didn't they show a room FULL off Peter clones at one point?

You mean the nurse that caught up to Fauxlivia on the sidewalk right after she had the baby? Could be. She did have an awfully large amount of screen time for such a small part.

If it happened in the first season, just go ahead and forget about it.

They weren't Peter clones, they were Mark Valley clones. But it's also probably best to forget about that too.

Thank you, I could have sworn it was Mark Valley but didn't feel like looking for the exact episode.

Here's the "Opus the Peahen" comic strip from:

It was actually drawn by Berkeley Breathed for this episode.

that made me laugh for some reason, but yeah don't think too much about season-1

they didn't have a firm storyline yet

being that certain writers have been participating on episodes this season, some stuff will refer back to season-1 as to appear that it was planned all along

Like those gangsters, or whatever, Peter was hiding from in Iraq. After he came back they were following him.

Re: Fringe -- "Bloodline" -- 3/25/11

I'm catching up on season three and just watched this one. Important episode, but what a momentum killer. If I had a top 5 list of worst FRINGE episodes, this would be pretty high on that list.
