I hope the season finale is like "The House of Blue Leaves" from Kill Bill, but with Raylan and a gun, to make up for the lack of him shooting anyone.

Looks like Winona followed your rule and went big.

Winona's explanation.

This episode brought the funny, but had just the right amount of drama and tension. I imagine that when I revisit this season on DVD/Blu-ray, last week's episode will play much better with this one immediately following it. Even though this was a case of "everything that could go wrong, did go wrong," and that runs the risk of being unbelievable, I think the episode pulled it off quite well.

I love that they're dovetailing Boyd at the mine and Raylan with the Bennetts. Sets it up to where Raylan is going to have to, begrudgingly, rely on Boyd again.

I loved that they brought back Stephen Root as Judge Reardon as well; great use of the supporting character in this episode. And the return of Duffy as well, just as crazy as ever. I really can't believe Gary is going back to him after what happened in the first season...what an idiot. I hope Raylan isn't around to save him this time. I do like the addition of what's-her-name as the Mine Vice President too.

This is probably the first episode I've ever noticed Raylan to be visibly shaken and scrambling to figure out what to do. He usually is so calm and has everything worked out, but you could just sense the fear that Winona would get in trouble, that he would be implicated, that he'd lose her again. Real powerful stuff, and a different side to Raylan that we haven't been exposed to before. And they did a good job mixing in just a bit of humor with Raylan's looks of disbelief at each newly developed plan being disrupted.

I don't imagine this will be the last we hear of Winona taking the money; even if it's never mentioned again this season, it has to pop up later in the series. This show won't just let something like that disappear. Raylan's face there at the end told Art to just stay where he was, because he wouldn't like what he was about to see; definitely a very tense moment. But Art definitely knew something funny was going on.

Next week looks fantastic.

Wouldn't have been easier to just destroy the money than return it to the locker?

I thought the 10,000 lucky breaks in a row they got at the end of the money story really hurt it.

Looking forward to the Boyd and mining company vs. Bennett clan story.

I thought destroying it would have been easier too, but assuming this isn't the last we hear about the money, I think it will prevent Winona's punishment from being worse in the future.

See, they know Winona was at the bank robbery, where one of the robbers just so happened to have the $100; they could probably find out that she was in the evidence locker not long before the robbery too. It isn't direct proof, but the circumstances are such that it makes her look as though she had something to do with the robber getting his hands on the $100.

At least if the rest of the money is there in the evidence locker, seemingly misplaced, she can just admit to taking the $100 out of curiosity and only really get in trouble for taking the single $100, and not the entirety of the money. The video would also probably help her in that regard, because it looks as though she had second thoughts and was going to leave. Like Raylan said, the punishment for the $100 wouldn't be so bad, and wouldn't involve jail time, but taking that whole bag of money would definitely be a more serious offense and probably land Winona in jail.

Winona looked fantastic in that morning scene.

Do court reporters really have their own offices?

It was Rebecca Creskoff from the HBO show Hung. She has a smoking bod. Gets nekkid a lot on that show.

Liked how they are setting up Boyd vs. the Bennett's. Agreed about the money. Stupid to replace it. Just destroy it and be done with it.

I thought this episode was cliched as all get out. Dialogue was fantastic as usual though, so I found it to be a bunch of fun. Any other show would have the same cliche tension moments but not be able to deliver with any of the funny or entertainment, so it's a win win for me.

Man Winona sure has neutered Raylan hasn't she?

At this point I wouldn't mind getting rid of him and just watch the Boyd show.

That was exactly my reaction as well.

And at the Judge in his underwear....I guess he doesn't wear pants under the robe.

Yeah, in his first appearance he was actually wearing the same thing, said it was just more comfortable that way.

Re: Justified -- "Save My Love" -- 3/23/11

As you guys might imagine, a Stephen Root appearance alone just about makes this automatically the best episode of the year. I love his character on this show so much.

I am also happy Winona took all the money. I wish they could have shown the viewers that in last week's episode because I think it would have helped that one play better to the audience and would have upped the ante when she lied to Raylan about how much money she had.

Raylan being forced to almost referee Boyd versus Mags would be a great second half to this season -- I hope that's where this goes. I also hope Mags or her gimpy son escapes the season to cause some more trouble in season 3.

This was an annoying episode. The sheer number of coincidences, happenstances and contrivances reeked of pure bullshit, which is very unlike this show.

Re: Justified -- "Save My Love" -- 3/23/11

Yeah this was way off from any episode I've seen.

Not that it was terrible or anything, but if they are going this way in episode construction only in season two, the show will be on the rocks in short order.

I hope the writers aren't out of ideas already.

Raylan hasn't shot a single person this whole season has he?

I was getting frustrated at all the sitcom style delays to getting the money back, but I love the characters and dialogue so much that I was willing to overlook it.

Maybe this ep was reconstructed from an early Boomtown script?

I agree, but I think the dialogue and Olyphant's portrayal of Raylan saved the episode and caused me to overlook the its shortcomings.

I read on Dark Horizons that Justified is pretty close to being renewed for next season.

I don't care if Raylan shoots anyone as long we know he's willing to. I don't think it needs to fall into "24" territory where we're just adding up bodies each week.
