This was a great episode, again. This season has been right on the mark.
I'm really glad that the womanizer jokes aren't Barneys only thing anymore. All the stuff with him finding his dad this season has been both hilarious and touching.
I loved all the "gaps"... Couldn't stop laughing at Robins rant about how there is no North Pole.

Lily tossing the keys into the bushes was hysterical. "I'm standing, literally, eleven inches from you."
Not a fan of the ending though. So Barney decides Ted should have the basketball goal because every kid should have one. Never mind the little brother he just stole it from. That was pretty weak, even for Barney.

Yeah I found that pretty weird too, although I'm sure crazy John Lithgow could easily replace it for JJ.

Great episode. Just the right mixture of humor and touching moments.
Marshall testing the rest of them was hilarious. Agree with CharlieK, the voice he used when introducing the possum was great. I loved his, "The Phantom Menace is the best Star Wars Movie."
Robin thinking the North Pole was made-up and Lily's awful aim. Ted's pronunciation of chameleon was pretty funny too; especially when his class shook their heads in unison.
I don't think Barney taking the basketball hoop was weird; he felt he was owed something and was acting out of frustration since he couldn't have the memories. John Lithgow actually looks like he could be his dad too, so I thought that was some good casting. The two different versions of what happened was a nice touch, and hopefully they'll bring Lithgow back for a few episodes and have Barney and his dad get to know one another better.
Oh, and nice call back with the Intervention Banner.

I really loved Barney's meltdown over his dad being an ordinary guy for his new kid but couldn't be an ordinary dad for him. Very touching.
I don't get it.

Great episode. Both plot lines were great and Lithgow was awesome. Hope they bring him back some more.

Lithgow is a great character actor. I loved how he was totally believable in both scenarios.
The best part for me was also Marshall's praise for TPM.

Wondering if Barney's step-sister might be Ted's future wife?
- She's in college
- looks like she lives away from home (Bilson's roomie?)
- family lives 10 minutes away from Ted's house.
Edit: If it turns out so, wonder if there will be a call-back to this ep - "Isn't that our basketball hoop?"
