Don't shows generally avoid the the Thursday/Friday the first couple of weeks of the NCAA tournament?

All of NBC's comedy lineup is on tonight except The Office.

The NCAA Tourney is going to kill this entire lineup tonight.

NBC's Thursday night ratings for every show but The Office are so low that they probably figure it's just die hard fans that watch at this point, and that those fans will DVR the shows if they are basketball fans.

Good news from TVline:

Some of that Irish luck is rubbing off on our favorite Greendale/Pawnee peeps today: NBC has renewed bubble comedies Community and Parks and Recreation for next season. In less surprising news, the Peacock has also picked up The Office.

Awesome news! I'm so glad that Community is getting another season, and thrilled about Parks And Recreation. Nice to see NBC sticking by the shows even though they only have so-so ratings.

Good news about Community. Presumably, that also means Perfect Couple and Outsourced are on the bubble or done for. I guess one of them could still get the fourth slot in a two hour block, but I'm guessing it's far more likely NBC is strongly considering something new for that slot.

EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot about 30 Rock. Any news on that? If so. I guess that makes the two hour block, and the other shows are probably toast, because I can't imagine NBC sticking with the three hour comedy lineup next season.

Re: Community -- "Custody Law and Eastern European Diplomacy" -- 3/17/11

Nice to see Enver Gjokaj getting some work after Dollhouse.

The sweatshirt said "It's all downhill from here"

Britta singing was so awkward...and so funny.

Lukka missing genocide caught me off guard, but was surprisingly funny. Loved how the neighbor played the "letdown sound" afterward.

Chang: "Parental rights? You're adopting me?!"

---

Chang: "There's no cell in the world that can hold Chang!"
Chang: "Oh, hey Shari."

Troy: "Britta, there's a difference between a guy that likes nipple play and a guy that makes hats out of babies."

Great episode. Both story lines were filled with laughter.... But where was Annie? I miss Annies boobs.

I like the Troy/Abed and Britta pairing. It gives a chance for Britta to be dull while Troy and Abed bring the funny.

Here, this should tide you over. Annie's Boobs (NSFW?):

Definitely. Britta is at her funniest (to me at least) when she's ridiculously lame.

I liked this episode and Malcolm Jamal Warner again was a great guest star. I also laughed at Britta spoiling Catfish because it reminded me of how 20/20 pretty much spoiled Catfish for a lot of people when they did a segment on it.

I don't if any other show would have gone with the "I loved the genocide" plot point, but god love Community for going for it.

And they don't do it often, but I do love when they highlight how lame Britta is. Early on she seemed like she was supposed to be the "cool hot chick" that Jeff was into. Glad they took her in a more interesting direction.

Speaking of boobs, Britta's was bringing back the lean-forward boobage with the "new friend" Luka.

Re: Community -- "Custody Law and Eastern European Diplomacy" -- 3/17/11

A below par ep for me. I was hopeful when I saw the actor playing Lukka, he was great on Dollhouse, but they didn't fully utilize him and it doesn't look like he'll be back.

I guess Brie and Chevy had this week off. They were AWOL between the opening and closing credits. Speaking of credits, did I miss something in the closing credits? Was the gag just that they were all on their various devices and ignoring each other?

Chang: "Shirley's your Mom, dumbass."
Kid: "My Mom's name is LaQuanda."
Chang: "Hey, that's racist!"

Chang was hilarious this ep. "Locking that little man up will only make prison crazier." I thought this was a great episode.

I think the gag was that they do anything BUT study in their study group.
