Being Human UK - Season 3 Thread

I never saw a single thread on the original Being Human, which now just wrapped up Season 3 in the UK, so I thought I'd start one - for the few who may watch this one instead (or in addition to the US one).

Spoiler:
For those who saw the season finale - HOLY SHIT! PLEASE tell me Mitchell will return?!? Do vampires come back after being staked? I'm just wondering if this show can maintain the drive, and chemistry without him, to continue. This has turned into a great series, I really hope it'll be back for at least one to two more seasons.

Spoiler:
As Herrick told Mitchell, there is no coming back from being staked. Maybe they could bring him back as a ghost (which would be a bad idea IMO) but we have never seen a supernatural creature's ghost, only humans so who knows if thats even possible. I agree it really has been a great season. Never really warmed to Nina as a regular cast member and dont think the show would work without Mitchell.

Easily one of the better TV shows made in the last decade. Really great stuff.

Spoiler:
At first I was thinking they'd bring him back for sure but then I remembered he'll be filming the next two hobbit films.

Spoiler:
The actor is off to do The Hobbit, so they opted to take him out now. He won't be coming back.

It was a great, great series. I can't wait for next year.

Is the show coming back for sure? I know British television shows don't typically have long runs. I heard the Inbetweeners wasnt coming back which is insane.

The way they set it up I really thought that police woman was going to end up
Spoiler:
Becoming a vampire

Re: Being Human UK - Season 3 Thread

It would have sucked if they had ended the show on such a crazy note. I kind of thought the police lady may end up as a vampire, but after Merrick's craziness in the room and with her her snooping around, I just thought that was going to spell and end for her. I hated him, so good riddance, but that sleeper cell to come to light (and of course, they're police dectives), it just seemed like the show was poised to venture into something new.

Ah, looks like we'll be getting season 4 sometime in 2012.

Ah, the Being Human BBC blog answers a couple of my questions. Consider the link a spoiler.

Well Poop! I'm only at the zombie girl episode. That blows, he's the best part of the show but can't wait to see him in the Hobbit. Also, didn't realize his real name is the name of his character in the US version.

Well, at least I didn't get all weepy and blow snot bubbles for a death where he'd just come back later. But yeah... super sucks.

I loved Adrian Lester's Herrick from the original pilot. The Herrick we ended up with in the series was never anywhere near as menacing. He always seemed like sort of a joke. But after he regained his memory he kicked it up a notch, shame we wont get to see more of *that* Herrick.

Has anyone else been watching the "Becoming Human" spin-off ? Its pretty good.
