If There Was A Fire...what would you choose ?
If there was a fire at your house, and you could only save a handful of your dvds/blu-rays, what would you choose ? It could be some box sets or a few individual dvds. Mine....
A Knight's Tale
Little Giants
the Lion Force Voltron tins
The Brady Bunch Complete Series with shag carpet cover
The Highlander 10th Anniversary dvd (it was the very first dvd I ever bought)
all my Doctor Who dvds

My DVDs would be one of the last things I grabbed, although playing along with the thread, I would grab the DVD of my wedding.

Frankly, I'd let them be engulfed by the cleansing fire and I'd thank the fire gods for releasing me from my obsession.
(that is, after grabbing my two Battlestar Galactica sets in collectable cylon packaging - original and reimagined - from the flames)

Definitely the Doctor Who seasons, since they cost the most. Maybe a couple OOP Criterions and my Russ Meyer Collection from the UK.

Good lord, if I had A Knights Tale in my collection for some reason I'd make a point to throw it INTO the fire.

All of my valuable sets and individual DVD's that I store in a special case for just this occasion. Then I would grab my family.

Spottedfeather has way too much time on his hands...
In any event, I would grab my region-free portable DVD player and as many R2 Japanese pop music concert DVDs as I could.

Probably let them burn. I'd try to grab a couple of my game consoles & favorite games first (like my 360, or at least just the hard drive). In spirit of the thread, if I did have time for some titles, I'd probably grab like my Third Man Criterion or other expensive ones like my Mel Brooks Blu-Ray set I didn't think I would be able to replace easily.

Speaking from experience, DVDs are the last thing on your mind when your house is burning up.
When I lost my house several years ago I grabbed my laptop (because it has all my pictures and home movies, not to mention a database of all my collections for insurance proof), my wallet/keys/phone (which I thankfully keep together), my case of important documents and my cat... I didn't even consider anything else. The only thing I regret loosing is a couple middle school year books to be honest. I've able to build my DVD collection back up (although I'm glad to have about 20% of it gone).

I wouldn't grab any DVDs, but I have a bin of Rare/OOP CDs in my room and in case of a fire that's what I'd grab. I've found it's much harder to track down Rare/OOP CDs than it is Rare/OOP DVDs.

Seriously?
SERIOUSLY???
Is this the one with one of the worst transfers of all time?
You would risk you life to save these DVDs?
As some others have mentioned, I would not even think of movies when I have pictures and other more important items to grab.

There is no way I'd have time to grab my DVDs in a fire. Too many...but I'd try to grab some titles that are out of print and expensive to replace.
