How does Biggest Loser "keep it quiet"?

I'm sure this goes for all the "reality" shows out there but I really didn't think about it until last week's Biggest Loser episode when Aurthur got voted off. At the end of the episode they showed Aurthur at home, he had lost about 40 more pounds since leaving the show which means he had been home for a good while (possibly about a month). How does the show keep the fact that he got voted off quiet? I know all of the contestants and their families have signed confidentially agreements, but what about the rest of their towns? their fellow employees? people who see them in the store? Now I know there are most likely websites out there that DO list who has gone home, but I would think with an entire town supporting these people they would all know when they came home.
