I have been tasked with providing a relative in Houston with "the best 27-32" TV in the $600 range".
I have a Panny plasma I love, but it's a few years old and I haven't been tracking what's hot or not today.
As I always do in times as this, I turn to the opinionated genius of this forum for suggestions.
And so we begin...

Why so small? You can get a 42" and maybe a 50" Panny Plasma in that range.

Apparently a space issue. I agree with you, but I'm only asking what I've been asked. Go figure....

They don't make plasmas that small, so you are looking at LCD. I chose a 32" Panny when I shopped a year ago due to the viewing angle. Compared to my dad's Sony, it's amazing, nearly as good as a plasma. Samsung seems to make some nice units, too, but I usually find them more expensive.
If it is to be used with a PC, 1080p is in that price range, otherwise stick with 720 and it should be well under $500. Less for smaller than 32".
