Eve is cute but can't act for shit.
Loved all the nods to The Thing.
Rufus!

Re: Supernatural -- "And Then There Were None" -- 3/04/11
Wow, way to kill off everyone. This show... Love it to death, and every other show in history has the opposite problem. But this show, it creates decent characters, well cast, and it *never* keeps them alive. Pilleggi as Samuel, Rufus, and the return of Gwen (the first two fall into the decent characters, well cast bit. The last, who cares.) And they kill all three in the same freaking episode?!? I'm just glad that even this show realized how amazing Beaver was early on, or he'd have been dead season one. Luckily I think the writers/creators have such a good relationship with Jim Beaver, that they won't kill him off until the very end.
Still, look back at all the hunters they've killed. I get it's a dangerous profession, but from the looks of this show, if you ain't a Winchester or Jim Beaver, you die. Period. The entire gang at the bar, Samuel's entire group, any old hunters associated with Bobby, anyone the Winchester's come in contact with. We've got what, zero still living recurring demon/hunter/non-Angel characters left? Even the trickster turned out to be an Angel. Who would have thought one would ever complain about a show killing off too many characters, but I really enjoyed both Rufus and Samuel. Losing them both the same episode... Bleh.
And we need a LOT more of Bobby in the field. This is the first episode I remember with Bobby pulling the typical investigation/non-Apocalypse outing with the boys, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The only problem with the show now is that they have access to an Archangel (Castiel) who could probably smack down Eve, or any other monster of the week, in a second and his name never came up in this ep.

Love the Kahn worm references and it's nod to the Thing.
Glad to see more of Bobby and find out more about his past.

I'm not sure why you think Castiel has the power to deal Eve a smack down. We've just learned that she has the ability to create new beasties from scratch so I'm thinking she's gotta be a pretty big bad.

I thought this was a pretty solid episode. It had a very clausterphobic element to it and I liked the odes to The Thing and the ear worm from Star Trek II.
RIP Rufus, Gwen and Samuel. Slaughterhouse of the hunters in this episode.
Interesting that they bring in another pretty girl who can't act to play Eve/Mother. The opening scene with the trucker going crazy on his wife was pretty creepy.

Holy shit! Can't believe they killed everyone off in the same episode!
I did love seeing Bobby in the field with them, and definitely a big-time homage to the Thing. That was cool.
I think Castiel is a little more pre-occupied with restoring order in Heaven. He doesn't really have time for the weekly monster hunt.

I finally watched this episode last night and liked it. As others have commented, I hope Bobby gets out in the field more.
