There is often an "upset" in one of the four acting categories. Will there be one tonight?

For some reason, I feel like Firth won't win Best Actor. In my office pool, I actually picked Javier Bardem because a) I don't care if I lose the pool, and b) If that happens I'll look like a brillant Oscar prognosticator with Kreskin like powers.

There we certainly agree. I just cannot see how he could possibly lose.
Leo ought to be a lock since she didn't win for Frozen River. We all know that Oscar acting awards can often be cumulative (see: Dench for SiL). However, she apparently turned some folks off by launching her own advertising campaign for her win. Giving an Oscar to a very young actor is always a nice feel-good story.

If The King's Speech dominates, I could see Rush surprising and winning Best Supporting Actor.
Doubtful though since i don't think TKS will come close to sweeping.

I voted for Melissa Leo will not win best supporting actress. I sure as hell hope it won't be Portman will not win for Best Actress.

Oddly enough, the one expected winner I will be rooting against is Portman. I'm actually not sure why since I like her just fine as an actress. I would definitely not be too upset to see Bening win. It was the standout performance in a film with several first-rate performances.

If there is one actress I hate, its Annette Bening so I hope that is not the upset... I think Steinfeld winning Sup Actress will actually be the upset tonight.

I voted "there will be no upsets" because there usually aren't. If there is one, it will be in the Supporting Actress category as usual.
