There is a sneak preview of the pilot episode of Camelot on immediately after the Spartacus finale. I've already set my dvr for both.

I'm really interested in "Camelot," after the general awesomeness of "Spartacus."

From EW.com
Some notes from Creator and EP Steven S. DeKnight about Season 2 and the future DVD/BD releaase of this series:
So season 2 is not coming until next January right?
Unfortunately, we cannot air it until the end of January. Our post-production process takes so long. We can start airing it sooner, but we’d have to air five episodes and go on a long break. And Starz has Camelot in the spring and Torchwood in the summer.
And Gods of the Arena will be out on DVD when?
I don’t know the official date. I will assume it will be around the same time season one, which was September. We also like to pack in a lot of extras. [Note: Starz confirms September is the target, but adds the plan is still tentative.]
Since you have one season of Spartacus done, and you have the second mapped out, and you know the overall story of Spartacus that you’re telling from history — you must have some idea at this point how many seasons this story should be. So what’s that number?
It’s entangled with other numbers. One is budget — the show gets more expensive each season. The other is ratings. I could go anywhere from three to six seasons. Budget is not a small part of it. As the gladiator war continues and Spartacus’ army grows, it becomes more difficult to produce on a TV budget.

So it is 65 minutes? I was looking forward to a good 2 hour final. Allot to cram in one hour for a final.

Yep, 65 minutes. Damn fine finale. Slight spoiler at the very end if you haven't seen season 1.

The finale does make me want to watch the first season again. So next season we'll have a full house of badass...Spartacus, Crixus, Gannicus, and hopefully the side of Oenomaus I thought we would see this season.

The last half hour was quite insane. Good solid finale, plus setting up the next season, totally whetting my appetite.

Very nice way to end this season. I have enjoyed this show consistently from about Episode 2 of the First Season. Sets up some nice things for future seasons.

My thoughts on the kick-ass finale (spoilerized for the benefit of those who may see it later this weekend):

Given the actual history of the Third Servile War and the actual people involved, I'm glad things ended the way they did for

It's quite amazing that the creators of this show (the writers, actors, etc.) have done what is, in practice, impossible. They were forced into crafting a prequel without their star, and still managed to maintain the high quality of the regular series.
Regarding Gannicus... I really liked the ending they gave him. With all of the stuff going on around him, I did NOT see that one coming.

Loved the prequel series... loved the finale...
is there any chance at all Batiatus survived his slit throat? I mean, they could have decapitated the guy and taken any ambiguity out of it, but they chose differently... I wonder why? The final shot of the finale, when they zoomed in on his eye, did I see a tiny little twitch of life? John Hannah and Batiatus was just so awesome in both B&S and GotA, that I think he will be sorely missed in S2.
Oh, and I love Asher. He's such a slithery fuck...

I just went to Netflix and as others have said, it's not there. They put every episode up and then fuck around with the last one. What a load of horseshit!
Also, Amazon has the BD set for this up for pre-order for $35. I'll be damned if I pay the same amount as the first series for half the episodes. I hope the price drops.

If you have Directv, Starz has a Free Preview this weekend. You can record episode 6 off there if episode 6 doesn't show up on Netflix yet.
I don't know if any other cable provider is giving a Starz Preview this weekend.

I thought this was a really good finale to a really good abbreviated prequel season.
All I want to know is ...... when will the next episode of this series be aired?
Tomorrow is not soon enough. lol
