Synopsis:

Spoiler:
Erica, seeking revenge against Anna, heads to Hong Kong to carry out a mission to strike a lethal blow against Anna. Meanwhile, Anna learns that Tyler's phosphorous level is too low - even after the Red Rain -- and he might become useless to her; and Lisa and Diana bond, beginning to form an alliance against Anna.

Episode 7 of 10

I guess I was the only one that really liked last week's episode. I thought it set up the arc for these last 4 episodes nicely.

Isn't this episode 9?

Nevermind. IO9 had it wrong. Three more after tonight.

I love how Ryan survived

EDIT: This is the first good episode in a long time.

But what happened at the very end after Lisa walked off?

I don't think they are going for the Diane double-cross device; I think it was more that she now might try to be queen herself and has an out to do it.

Re: "V" -- "Birth Pangs" -- 2/22/11

I was wondering how many episodes were left for the season. So we have three more to go, correct? Anyway, I have been enjoying Season 2 quite a bit. Definitely seeing more "guts" from Erica and the Fifth Column. Nice to see them getting closer to finding out the V's true agenda. Hopefully, we get to see all these latest developments resolved by the end of the season.

Although I'm sure there's plenty of stuff for a Season 3 of "V", I'm concerned ABC might screw us by not giving us a satisfying conclusion and cancel the show. Has there been any news lately about the show's future?

^^ IGN had an article yesterday about shows that are likely to get cancelled --- V was one of them. That said, I read a while back that the producers are well aware of this fact and have a satisfying ending for this season where it could be a series finale if necessary. Hopefully they go the "Chuck" route and make it a good ending but leave open the door for a return if necessary.

At least they're finally thinking about maybe possibly doing something. And it only took two seasons.

Re: "V" -- "Birth Pangs" -- 2/22/11

Good episode. Advanced the plot more and I've enjoyed Erica taking more charge and being more of a leader.

I know the show is shot entirely in Vancouver, but I enjoyed the international feel of setting some of it in Bangkok and Hong Kong.

at the Doctor looking out the Peep hole and speaking Cantonese to Hobbes.

That surprised me when the Doctor jumped off the roof and committed the "V" suicide.

I also think that Diana has an ulterior motive and is using Lisa to find a way to take back her role as Queen. I don't believe for a 2nd that she has any real interest in helping her.

The camera zoomed into Diana and she gave an evil smile/smirk.

This was a decent episode. Wish it was more like this all the time.
More Diana.

Didn't see the ep., but I'm wondering if once they realize cancellation is inevitable they will pull out some "alternate reality" approach to explain that Diana actually is, well, Diana?

Really? 'Cuz I had heard the exact opposite-- cancellation rumors be damned, they were ending the season on a cliffhanger no matter what.

If they know they're not coming back, I hope they leave a massive cliffhanger, like Erica falling out of the mothership and plummeting to earth. The whole show is one big train wreck anyhow. Go for the gusto!

Re: "V" -- "Birth Pangs" -- 2/22/11

cancellation is the best thing for this show

i mean i watched this nonsense week after week and it is straight garbage

i try to give scifi type shows a chance, but at some point you just say no more

i mean yersterday episode was wack too, but it was like the 1st time i was watching where a couple of scenes actually caught my interest

i mean folks been dissing NOF, but that shit is actually watchable and has decent writing

ABC should just toss in a Wipeout episode in with NOH and Detroit 187

just saying
