Just wish the hookup w/ my Panasonic TV/BD could get 5.1 when streaming Amazon. Either way, great new reason to join Prime

Wow, great news! I don't have prime but I might do it for this reason. I have a Netflix membership and they have more for streaming but they don't have many of the new releases for streaming.
Edit: I now see that Amazon does NOT have ALL movies eligible for free. Most of the new releases are not included in this plan. But if you want prime for the quick shipping this is a nice added bonus.

I do have Prime and I wouldn't hold your breath on those new releases. Stuff like Unstoppable and Red still come up as $3.99 for me, while older movies are reflecting "$0.00"
Right now, I'm showing a total of 1669 free movies and 484 free TV shows.

This could be interesting. My Roku does Netflix and Amazon VOD, as well as Hulu Plus, I wonder if I could finally replace cable like this...

Awesome news. I'm so addicted to Prime, but it's hard to justify the cost. Now I have a reason, but not sure how to get the content on on my tv since I only have a PS3. Would I need to buy a new blu-ray player?

Also: "*Prime Instant videos are not currently available on TiVo devices"
Hopefully "currently" is accurate and will be added shortly.

We're hearing that this is only for paid Prime subscribers, so if you're a college student or the like with a free membership you're sadly out of luck.

It’s like looking through the $5 dump bin at Wal-Mart, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Lots of catalog titles from Warner and Columbia.
I made a quick list from just the first 10 pages of what I’d actually sit down and watch (or watch again as the case may be), and there’s a good mix of stuff that’s not available for free elsewhere (ie Netflix/Hulu).

Well this is stupid. My wife and I have Prime. She's the primary member. So to use this new service, I'd have to log out of my Amazon account and log in as her.

Amazon on demand is available on Roku or Tivo but unlike Roku, Tivo doesn't stream. I have both devices.
Also, this must be good news for Roku. Since AppleTV is not mentioned on Amazon, they probably can't stream from Amazon.

Related to this topic.......
I've been trying to google this, but haven't found it.
Does anyone know of a website that lists currently airing TV shows and where they can be (legally) streamed?
Obviously, I know you can go straight to the network's website and find most shows. But, I'm interested in where else.
