Robin: "And I also programmed it into your phone while you were in the bathroom."
*Barney smashes phone*
Robin: "Dude, you just got here, remember?"
---
I thought this was a pretty inconsistent episode, and probably the weakest of an otherwise perfect season. There were some truly great moments, but other things sort of fell flat for me. I really liked Barney and Robin's storyline, but thought Marshall and Lilly sort of brought the episode to a standstill. I actually enjoyed the way Ted went from thinking he was the good guy, to worrying he had ruined a marriage. Loved Ted calling the doorman a rapscallion and The Captain saying that was taking it a bit too far, lol.
I thought the stuff about the hologram phones was a bit too silly, but it was cool to see Future Ted run into Wendy the Waitress. I liked that they outright acknowledged that Zoe isn't the mother and that they've setup a potentially interesting breakup between the two. It was also pretty funny that Future Ted was about to start in on how he met his wife, but Wendy cut him off.
So it looks like Puncy's wedding is going to be one of the turning points as to how Ted meets his wife, which seemed to be apparent at the start of this season. The wedding should be happening pretty soon, right? I can't exactly remember, but the way they set it up earlier in the season I just assumed we'd see what happens at the wedding by season end. Still, I think chances are he won't meet her there, but something more along the lines of meeting someone that will later introduce him to his wife.

The only thing I didn't like about the episode was that Robin didn't look as hot as she usually does.

I think the Barney/Robin story has consistently been the strongest story arc on here for some time now. Once again, the best part of the episode.
Bits and pieces of other stuff were good, but not the overall strong episode that they've been consistently producing this year. Still, if this is the worst they do this year, it'll be a great, bounce-back year.
