Nikki's facial expressions while Renee was talking were great.

I don't think they really know what to do with Ben.

Last season there seemed to be a very eerie mood in the episodes (the music added to it). The mod this season is even more eerie with some depressing elements mixed in.

It seems like everything is going to shit this season. Every character is in a situation that could lead to something life-altering.

Some things surprised me. Rhonda's husband's kiss with Albie... where'd that come from? Is he gay? Does he know Albie is gay? Did something happen off-screen that led to this? And Cara-Lynn... I guess her initial kiss with her teacher happened in between the last episode and this one? I don't remember seeing anything happen between the two - even though I knew that it would eventually happen.

I agree about Ben... nothing to do but hook him up with chicks.

BTW, Rhonda's looking pretty hot. I can say that since she's 20.

There's a real possibility that some major things will happen to end the series.

I'm guessing that Frank and Lois will do a double-suicide at some point.
I also suspect that someone will kill Bill to end the series.
I hope Margene actually leaves the family. It's too easy to end the series with all 3 wives being happy and sticking with Bill.

I didn't think the kiss was that big of a surprise, the way Albie and Verlan acted around each other made it seem like there was more going on there than just Albie paying him to do his dirty work. I'm guessing there was something going on when they were younger.

I think this was the first time we saw Cara-Lynn and her teacher kiss.

I haven't seen this week's ep yet but....

In last weeks' ep there was a "moment" between them. The guy said something about doing whatever Albie wanted or something like that and he kinda moved a certain way in his chair that was seductive. They cut to Albie and he was looking at him as if he got the hint....I remember it because that's when I knew Albie was going to end up being intimate with him.



Gotta be honest, I wouldn't have a problem with that. I've liked Bill less and less with each season.

I thought the same thing last episode, but was still surprised the kiss came because it didn't seem like enough info for Verlan to go on to make that brave a move. As stated, maybe there was something from their past that brought that on.

So are Joey and Wanda going to make an appearance before the series ends? Has anyone even mentioned them this season? Has Bill or his family at least mentioned them? I can't remember.

It's funny because I think the producers still view Bill as a "hero" so I suspect that in the end the women will "come into line" and Bill will have his happy polygamous marriage again. However, I think as time has gone on people have realized that Bill is actually a creep and I think a better ending would be him left with only Nikki as one of his wives.

I ain't checking no spoilers.

This is the first episode this season that I loved. It had the multiple chaotic, funny and tragic story lines all careening ahead at once. I love the voyage of self doubt and self-discovery Barb is on and I like seeing how Nikki is probably having a hard time reconciling the paper vs real aspects of becoming Bill's legal wife. I had my doubts, but glad that they're finally on track, it seems.

BTW : Did you notice : This episode was directed by Howard Deutch, who was best know as John Hughes' go-to director for Pretty In Pink and Some Kind of Wonderful.

Is this the first time they mention that Teenie left the family? Bill mentions something about both daughters leaving home. He said it in a way that implied she wasn't coming back.

Ben's actions to go straight to Rhonda was weird. When she said she was a hostess, I knew it was going to be revealed that she was a stripper.

I doubt they kill Bill in the end. He will probably become more tolerant of views other than his own and that's what will bring the family back together in the end.

In the season premiere, they mention that Teenie was staying with Sarah until this controversy blew over. Apparently, it was okay for Nikki's kid to get PLIG written on his forehead and for Ben to be mocked, but they drew the line at Teeny.
