Content Over Bonus ?

When you're looking over different editions of a movie to buy, how do you decide which version to get ? Do you get the one that is just the movie and maybe one or two extras, or do you get the massive multi disc edition with buttloads of extras ? Does it depend on how well you like the movie and how much you'll watch it ?

Re: Content Over Bonus ?

First and foremost, it depends massively on how much I like the movie.

I own three different editions of Apocalypse Now, but that's because I love it.
I'm not gonna buy the uncut special edition of Showgirls just to see 2 more minutes of Elizabeth Berkley's tits

For films I really enjoy, I get at least the theatrical version and the director's cut, if available.
Extras don't mean as much to me as seeing the vision that played in theaters and the director's true vision.
