Starring:
Sarah Chalke (Scrubs)
Jason Biggs (American Pie)
Tyler Labine (Reaper, Sons of Tuscon)
Judy Greer (Arrested Development)
13 episode midseason series. I like Chalke, Biggs, and Judy Greer. Tyler Labine...Hmmmm, how many shows has he been on that has gotten canned? But, this has How I Met Your Mother as a lead-in, so it should get some good numbers.

Ugh. I loved Reaper, but couldn't stand him so quit watching it. I'll try this, hoping he dials the annoying factor down a lot, but I'm not too optimistic, given the one promo I've seen.

Okay I kind of understand the Tyler Labine hate, but what's with the hate for Judy Greer? I think she's a good comedic actress. She was great on Miss Guided a few years ago and has popped up occasionally on other shows/movies.
Yeah I like Sarah Chalke also. Biggs is okay. He will always be Jim Levenstein for me.

Yeah 'cause we haven't seen this show a hundred times before
I love Judy Greer and I like Labine and Chalke but that doesn't make this seem any more interesting.

I'm a fan of Tyler Labine and found myself laughing alot more than I expected to tonight. Hopefully this last longer than his previous gigs..

I thought this was pretty bad. The relationship between Biggs and Chalke and the hatred between the other two moved so fast that it was just annoying. No real laughs either. And it's trying way too hard to be How I Met My Mother but didn't come close to having the instant charm.
BUT I still like the leads so I'll give it one more chance.

I love everyone in the cast. This will be first time watching CBS in...3 years. It's hard to pass this one up.
I thought Labine dropped out when Sons of Touson was on the air?

I'll give it another episode or two since I still like the cast.

I kind of liked it. I don't watch many single camera studio sitcoms, but I thought for the most part it worked and set up the characters well. I've never seen How I Met your Mother, so I have no comparison to it. I agree that the relationships between the characters especially Ben and Kate moved really fast in such a short period of time.
I don't know if it's the plan for future episodes, but I enjoyed the story told from the perspective of Larry. I liked the oddball relationship he had with Connie and got a few chuckles. I'm a fan of Judy Greer, but I don't like the straight red long hair with bangs. The look doesn't work for her.
BTW, who did those babies belong to?

Couple of other things that bugged the hell out of me were the laugh track (it's 2011, aren't we done with this trope? We grandfathered in long running sitcoms, but there's no reason for a new show to have them in this day and age), and the babies sitting on Judy Greer's lap in the taxi (no car seats? Really?).

This was just HIMYM redux but with a less likable cast and no Barney (yet).
I wasn't feeling it, but we'll see how it does. I like Sarah Chalke and Judy Greer and her fucked up boobs, but really Greer seems like an awkward fit here.
CBS loves laugh tracks so I was over that pretty quick.

I cant believe how fast the Larry character turned me off of the show.
Add to that his incredibly annoying voiceover and I feel even my like of Sarah Chalke may not bring me back.

I read that in the original Pilot they shot, Minka Kelly from Friday Night Lights played Chalke's character and Lizzy Caplan played Greer's character.
I guess CBS wasn't comfortable going with 2 younger actresses and changed to 2 sitcom veterans to get an audience.
