Geez, what does this show have to do week-to-week to get some "Can't wait!" buzz around here?
Can't wait!

Shirley: "Pierce, what's that you just put in your mouth?"
Pierce: "Gum."
Annie: "Then why aren't you chewing it?"
Pierce: "Because I'm using my mouth for this dumb conversation."
---
Everyone angrily defending the Barenaked Ladies came out of nowhere, but was hilarious. I had completely forgotten the band existed.

Chang was absolutely incredible this episode. From orchestrating the party to move in to opening up appliances to reveal his belongings to screaming "Way to go idiots!" at the hermit crabs.
I'm continually impressed at the ways in which the writers use the character; they know exactly how far to take things with him and know to limit his screen time lest we get tired of his antics. They also give him just enough heart so that we sympathize with him at moments like his revelation that he was now homeless.
Chang at the bottom of the trash chute
---
It showed tremendous restraint to not have Britta and Annie kiss during the episode, and I applaud the writers for taking the high road in that regard. Pretty sad with Pierce there at the end, but I like that the show has been having a sort of continuing arc with Pierce breaking his legs and then getting addicted to painkillers.
Great episode, as usual. Now to turn the TV off for 30 minutes until The Office comes on, lol.

That was an oddly sweet and depressing ending.

Yeah, it was great to see Jeff take Chang in and finally acknowledge how much the group meant to him, but real sad to see Pierce passed out from the drugs, and alone.

I love Winger, but he better back off the BNL.
And since they do the theme for BBT, it was a shot at that show as well.
I hate Andy Dick, and hope to never see him again.

Um, no. His name is "Star-burns". Because he has giant star-shaped sideburns.
I liked this episode, though I don't think Community handles the drama as well as the ridiculous. So the "Troy turns 21" ep and this one both seemed like more of a downer than they needed to be. Not that that's necessarily bad for a sitcom to do. It's just such a swing for this show, which I like because they have done a great job of saying "fuck it, we'll do what we want in this time slot until they cancel us" that I feel these more serious stories slow down the show too much.
That said, I enjoyed plenty about tonight. And hey...Alison Brie. No complaints there.

Re-watching this episode I realized how much I love this show and how much it is going to suck if it doesn't get picked up for another season or two. They go for it, there have been a few misses, but for the most part they knock it out of the park each week. Best 1/2 hour comedy on TV right now!
BOOKS!
Also Chang showing up in the correct colors without knowing which team to root for awesome! Manchester United, and Liverpool FC have the same two main colors. It's little reasons like this that I love the show.
