Is it just me, or is there a lack of decent DVDs in the UK recently?

I actually had a hard time finding anything that I really wanted to buy from DVDStreet on their 15% off! I mean, there's never really all that many good discs over here at the best of times, but it seems like it's just plain dire at the moment... Are all the studios holding out for the summertime or something?

I noticed exactly the same thing....I ordered Leon @ 15% off, then I was looking for something else, but could not find anything!
The same is applicable to Region 1 too - there seems to be a distinct lack of quality releases over the coming weeks - whats going on?

I heard that there are now approx 1600 titles released in the UK.
As for quality titles then it depends on what your after.
I've just bought the first series of Men Behaving Badly and will get the others soon. These feature very nice animated menus and even a few quiz's!!.

We're all very sad really, having to rely on UK releases is never going to entertain us. The fact is, is that the US studios prefer us to go "ooooh, aren't you Americans just great....I wanna be like u".
The only real solution to our problem is to spend our well earned pounds on region1 dvd's, for our over-priced modified players. And then have to wait a fortnight to get them, by which time the excitment is lost. Unless of course, I'm buying from the wrong US companies........?
