The Terminator Question
I've also read that the PQ of the American Blu-Ray for the first Terminator movie isn't good either. Is there one out there that does have excellent PQ and is playable on a Region A player?

Re: The Terminator Question
Have you tried the internet?
Anyway..yeah the US BD has a weak picture. I shall never get this film on BD until Cameron releases under his watch...and that may take a while.

Re: The Terminator Question
Yes there is presently no other version of The Terminator in release.
however about a little over a year and a half ago, When I got my lenticular cover of The Terminator signed by Lance henrickson at the premiere for the Hurt Locker we were hosting at work. He asked me if this was the new release of the bluray that he had sat down not that long before and took part in a audio commentary for.
So while its been a long time comming there is work (very slowly it seems) being done or has been done for a new release of the movie on BD.
I cant remember what thread it was that I posted that in when he first told me.

Re: The Terminator Question
The remastered edition of The Terminator was put on hiatus due to MGM's financial problems. MGM has only recently started putting out Blu-rays again. I haven't heard whether work resumed on The Terminator or if it's been shelved for the time being. I wouldn't expect it anytime soon.

Re: The Terminator Question
The Abyss and True Lies have been on the docket for years waiting for Cameron to have time to approve the transfers, so he's the reason nothing was done to tie in with Avatar.
