I am looking for a DVD player with the following features:

Dolby Digital 5.1/DTS coax output
Component and S-Video outputs
capability to read CD-R's

I will be using this for playing both DVD's and audio CD's, and would like a unit with low noise when playing audio CD's. There are so many models out there, I'm having trouble finding the models with these features. I would also consider purchasing a unit with a multi-disc changer if it has these features.

Not sure of the model #'s, but Pioneer is probably what you need to look at for all those features!

Pioneer DV-525. You might still be able to find it in some stores. If not, most new Pioneer players have dual lasers for CD-Rs as well.

Pioneer 333 ($250) replaced the 525 (~$210).

The 333 is a little more polished in the feature department (quieter, better scans). Either do what you require - but even the 333 is a little loud (chirping noises)during playback. Placing the player in a cabinet or
resting alot of weight (ie. a receiver) on top of the case help cut the noise down. Both are single disk players.
