I'm with ya. I know how Heroes was butchered, but can we really blame the network for the writing staff's bad job? Plus it has Summer Glau. I'm in for at least a few to see if it hooks me.

Definitely a must see on my list of shows. And as already stated above...Summer Glau is in the cast. I never became too interested in her Terminator series but really liked her a lot in Firefly.

It's definitely worth a watch if you have the time. It's streamable on netflix if you've got an account.

I hope all the Summer Glau fans aren't disappointed. She hasn't really seemed a critical part of the show from what I've seen. Speaking of which, I think I'll go watch Serenity again.

i'll watch, but i won't have terribly high expectations. looks sort of cheesy. but maybe that will make it better than heroes.

I may wait for the Monday encore before I decide to watch. Will wait and see what the reactions are from those that tune in tonight.

Another serial that's going to be killed by NBC and their horrible scheduling. 8 episodes and then what a 2 month break?
I think I'm going to reluctantly give it a try but my leash is going to be very shot on this one.

Bad acting from the wife and son while watching the news aside, I really liked it. It was great to see a super hero show that embraces comic book tropes and has fun with them.

Quick - name something this tepid show didn't steal from ........ crumbs from The Crow, both versions of The Punisher, even sideshow people a la Heroes ..... and I'm sure I'll think of more.
Predictable camera moves (did anyone not know there would be a pullback revealing the kid overhearing his dad being villified?) and why, at a banquet, was there nobody working in the kitchen?
NBC has done it again.

don't forget robocop's whole vibe of a private company running a police force and oh geee shock, the guy running the biz is a bad guy..
but as cheesy as the cape part of errrr "The Cape" show is, over all I enjoyed the show. I still don't really get why NBC dropped The Event off the air to run a show that they also plan to send into a long break.. Seems like some horrible programing planning to be but oh well.. what else is new over there..
Summer Glau looks great on the show and seems to have more of a role then just eye candy.. Even if I'm pretty sure that a brand new SLS AMG is not the most incognito sort of car to be rolling around in.. Even if you had no idea what it was, you're still going to notice the doors open differently then 99.9% of the cars on the road..
but hey, cheesy stuff like that is what makes shows like this sort of fun in the first place really.. Like when the bad guy yells.. "I'm going to find out who you are......" while looking the guy who has been plastered all over the news and set up by him in the first place straight the face with only a hoody as a disguise.. but hey, don't worry bad guy, you will figure it out sooner or later.

I dug it. It was really fun and didn't take itself too seriously. There was surprisingly alot of humor in it. The 2 hours flew by pretty fast. I liked how the storytelling was very similar to reading chapters of a comic/graphic novel. It's funny how they made this take place in a fictional city called "Palm City" like Gotham City or Metropolis, but the exterior shots were so obviously Los Angeles.
I didn't watch ER, so I had no background on David Lyons as an actor, but he was pretty good as Faraday/The Cape.
Keith David was awesome as Max. Like the father-son/mentor relationship he has with Faraday even though he is a crook. He also has a very strong presence/gravitas onscreen.
The Circus freak aspect in episode 1 was a little weird, especially the bank robbery scenes.
Summer Glau is just smoking hot. Whoever did her wardrobe for the show deserves major props. I'm glad to see Orwell is a pretty major player with Faraday.
I'd like to know where Orwell gets her income for all that major computer equipment and that $300-400K Mercedes sportscar.
I got a chuckle in episode 2 when the robbers of that store said "Alright Borat" to Ken Davitian, who actually appeared in Borat as the Producer.
I'm in until the end of the season. Hopefully the knuckleheads at NBC won't take it off the air too long after episode 8 and find a reasonable timeslot for it.

I thought it was hilarious when Keith David's character did the smoke bomb escape on the thugs who'd kidnapped him, only for them to pan to him running up the staircase, and then the guy quickly shoots him in the back. I'm not even sure if that was meant to be funny but me and my friend found it hilarious.
Other than that this was pretty average.
