trailer for India's STEP UP 4
The biggest hit in South India is now available on Blu-ray and DVD! It was originally titled HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 4, but they decided that it would be more profitable to call it STEP UP 4.
Here's a clip featuring the awesome, smooth dance moves of the protagonist of the film, along with South India's hottest portly sex bomb:

fuck.....I hate India. I honestly can't see any appeal in their films...except for the music (sans all the generic singing) design and production design.

When people criticize American cinema for appealing to the lowest common denominator, I always use Bollywood as my argument on how American cinema could be worse.
What really boggles my mind is how almost every Bollywood film is three hours in length.
Seriously India, what fucking story do you need to tell every time you make a movie that it needs to be three-hours long? If you stripped away the singing and dancing, you'd be left with a twenty minute movie. Knock it off.

I should have been an Indian film star (despite being Puerto Rican). And not being able to dance. Or have a rockin' 'stache.

This movie has some pretty violent action scenes for a family flick! Watch the beginning of this clip for example (thanks Zombeamer for opening my eyes to this flick, which I probably still won't buy)

Re: trailer for India's STEP UP 4
ok..so...a cheap HK action homage or whatever some story plot there and then a wtf dance number...someone fucking tell me wtf kind of mood is this bitch going for?!
As I said...there's talent behind the camera and whatnot..but...the stories and the acting are shit.
also...we need more actors here that can rock a fucking nice mustache. It's like...everywhere in India. We need more mustaches in our movies. In fact...I demand several in The Expendables 2.

The Comedian did have a damn fine one...
Yeah, I just don't get Indian films. Like...I GET the story..it's simplistic as shit. Like....Michael Bay would have a hard time dumbing it down to Indian Cinema level. I just don't understand how that cinema operates w/ it's style and....why? Is it cuz of the education level (I'm stereotyping here for sure cuz I know very little of the common education of India) or what? How simplistic do you make a film?
I also agree that whomever bitches about the way we make films here and do them now...just haven't been exposed to India's films. If the lowest common denominator is Transformers 2...than that's still a much higher level of talent than what India has. Again...I like the production design and other little things..but as stand alone objects..the combination of them is horrific, man.
Like critically...what is this film considered?

The movie had completed its hundred days run in 92 direct centers[4]. Though the movie was criticized for gore violence, the movie proved to be a major blockbuster for Tollywood in the year 2010. Simha collected a massive record box office collections in the first week and broke all previous first week box office records in telugu film industry with nearly 27 crores.[5] Simha has scored its 50 days in 338 centres which is an all time record in the industry
I don't understand most of what they say here

The movie ran for about 100 days (which is probably a record for a typical Bollywood film) in 92 regional markets. It had a record box office take that broke all previous records. Telugu film industry is a regional area, also called Tollywood. From what I could decipher with help from a couple of my Indian friends I work with who live in Bangalore.

I'll be posting a review of the Blu in a week or so, when I get home I have it waiting. I've watched it already, but only in shitty youtube quality. It is remarkably violent and has a very interesting moral point of view.
