DVD Talk review of 'The Mad Room (Columbia Classics)'
I read Paul Mavis's DVD review of The Mad Room (Columbia Classics) at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=46406 and...
great review.
I really loved the film. I hadn't seen it in 30 years and it was even better then I remembered it. Nice photography, good music and a first rate DVD transfer. Some weird things that you didn't point out about the film is there is a interracial romance that doesn't draw attention to itself (rare for 1969) and the maid is always listening to a radio station that plays nothing but music by "Nazz". This movie was always playing on TV in the 70's and then I never saw it again. I hope Video on Demand digs up a few more films like this. One I would like to see is "To Find a Man" (1972) a great abortion comedy/coming of age film starring Pamela Sue Martin and a great cast. I saw this film constantly in the 70's and then it vanished.
