Survivor: Nicaragua **Season Finale & Reunion, Sunday, Dec. 19th**

~ Episode 15 - The Finale ~

What About Me?: The final castaways participate in their last immunity challenges and are questioned by the jury before the jurors vote for the $1 million winner.

REMEMBER: This is on Sunday, Dec. 19th at 8pm. Followed by the Reunion at 10pm.

As always, starting the finale thread early to give people plenty of time to vote. Please note what time the voting ends. Go Fabio!!

Yup, the only way for this season to end on a positive note is for Fabio to win.

The rest would just be a joke.

But as always, I'll be watching to the bitter end.

Me too. The worst Survivor season would still be high on my list of guilty pleasures.

Honestly, the only one I don't want to see win at this point is Chase. He's been a complete idiot during most of his time out there. Dan doesn't deserve it, obviously, but if the jury gave it to him it would certainly create some entertaining commentary at the jury/reunion show.

If Dan won it would be classic. The only survivor winner who can hardly survive day to day living.

DVR ALERT: I'd recommend padding significantly (I'm simply recording the hour of local news after the reunion show) in the ET/CT zones....it's a CBS NFL Doubleheader day so there will certainly be an overrun.

It seems like a while since we've had a good and nasty final tribal council. But this one has potential - and after this season, we (the viewers) deserve it. Though I'm getting my ready for when the quitters get all high-and-mighty and start lecturing the finalists about proper gameplay.

Next season looks like it could be one of the best ever if this turns out to be true.

Spoiler:
YES!!!!! Survivor has decided to up the ante and let fan favorite Boston Rob face-off against THE best Survivor Villian of All-Time, Russell Hantz.

The new season will start with Russell and Boston Rob as team captains and each will receive immunity until the Merge. In addition to playesr being voted off, producers have added a new twist, Redemption Island. Voted off castaways will battle each other to remain in the game. Once they are voted off, they go to the island and wait for the next Tribal Council to vote off the next player. When they arrive, they battle, who ever wins, stays, the loser
goes to the jury. And so on until there are only 3 people left in the game.

I heard about that elsewhere today. People are either going to love or hate that. Count me as the former, cheesy though it may be.

I pretty much agree about Chase, except I also wouldn't be thrilled if Sash won. The fact that he made it clear that he wanted to have a "all-minority" final four early in the game just rubbed me the wrong way. I'm not going to scream reverse racism (especially since he might have been bullshitting to begin with) but it kind of bothered me.

The bottom line is that so many undeserving players have won so many times for whatever reason, I'm not going to lose sleep over whomever ends up victorious.

Sounds good to me! As long as
Spoiler:
Russell and Boston Rob are the only "All-Stars" playing. I think they've been allowing too many multiple-time players as it is. And Redemption Island sounds interesting. That's a way to make sure a quitter never ends up on the jury. So that almost certainly means the end of the cushy Ponderosa resort. I wonder if footage from Redemption Island will be part of the main show, or if it will be an online extra like Ponderosa?

Also, as long as they never go the route of a "celebrity" season, I'm fine with the producers tinkering with things to try and make things more interesting.

No undeserving player has ever won Survivor. The goal of the game is to get the most jury votes always has been.

Jenna "I want to quit" Morasca
Whoever the girl was that won a couple of seasons ago in Russell's first season.

I'm going to quote this now so it's easy to find later. I always have to explain this to people after the finale. No matter how you played, if you get the votes you deserve to win. That is the sole purpose of the game. Make it to the end and get the jury to vote for you. It has nothing to do with how you got there.

I would love it if "the quitters" didn't get to vote at the end.

Our long national nightmare is finally coming to an end. One of the worst seasons of Survivor ever.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua **Season Finale & Reunion, Sunday, Dec. 19th**

I have never been less excited for a Survivor finale. I don't even know if I'll bother to watch the reunion past the first commercial break. Once we know who wins and how everyone looks cleaned up, there's not much more to say.

The spoiler for next season sounds interesting to me. Then again, anything that involves a new cast of Survivors sounds interesting, at this point!

This hasn't been one of the better seasons, but I know it can't be the worst since there were 1 or 2 in the past that I gave up on mid-way through.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua **Season Finale & Reunion, Sunday, Dec. 19th**

About next season,
Spoiler:
while I didn't particularly care for Nicaragua, at least it was Survivor. Next season doesn't sound like the game I love at all. Two players have immunity until the merge? Ridiculous. I love Rob and I still think that's stupid. Stephenie and Bobby Jon had immunity for 1 Tribal Council and they both made it to the merge on star power alone. Were the producers afraid no one would want to live with Russell for more than a few days?

As for the Redemption Island scenario, again, not Survivor. The Outcasts twist in Pearl Islands was bad enough (even though it gave us Lill hilarity) but at least it was just once. People returning to the game being an ongoing thing? What is this, Paradise Hotel? I could be wrong, but Season 22 has potential to be be worse than Nicaragua.
