Does anyone have a Sony S350 that will play Apocalypse Now BD?
Help! I've just updated my firmware the the latest 021 version, and my Sony S350 still cannot play the Apocalypse Now BD. The disc itself is fine (it played perfectly on my friend's player) and I've never had a single problem playing any of the hundreds of BDs I've put in my S350, but Apocalypse simply refuses to load, eventually displaying a "Cannot operate this disc" on the TV and "Unknown" on the player's display panel.
Other than buy a new player simply for this one disc, I'm at a loss as to what to do. Is everyone else having this problem with the S350 and this disc, or is it just me?

I get this message sometimes. At the risk of being Captain Obvious, have you tried turning off the machine, waiting a couple minutes, then turning it back on?
Or sometimes I'll insert a DVD or a different Blu-Ray; those will load up fine, so then I'll take them out and re-insert the original disc. My machine is a couple years old and sometimes it does quirky things.

By the way, does it matter what sort of memory stick I use? I know it needs to be at least 1GB, but does it have to be a Sony product? Any suggestions?

I had the same problem on my s350 with an Apocalypse Now bluray that I got from Netflix. I decided to have them send a replacement disc just on the chance that I had a faulty disc, and sure enough the second one played just fine.
Before the second disc came, I experienced with memory stick/no memory stick, various settings, etc and had no luck.
