DVD Talk review of 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles Forever'
I read Nick Hartel's DVD review of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles Forever at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=45362 and...
Yes, they take some harsh shots at the '87 clan... but can you blame them for releasing a little bit of frustration at the bastardization of their opus for the world of children's cartoons?! I discovered the turtles as a child in their '87 form and I, too, was a bit turned off by how retarded they seemed at the beginning of turtles forever... but they prove to pull their weight in the plot just as they always did in their episodes on tv! I laughed aloud at '03 Raphael's exasperated gaze into the camera as he wonders who the hell they're talking to.^^ it was a fun movie for fans of the turtles and I think a cool way for Eastman and Laird to express a bit of themselves in summation of the ninja turtles' journey from paper into legend.
