Who throws away their DVDs? Just donate them to your local library.

Exactly, or donate them to our soldiers overseas.

Why would anyone throw away a DVD? If it's broken, or a M. Night film maybe, but someone somewhere could use it.

Exactly! The only time I'll throw a disc away is if it doesn't work properly.

Re: Recycle DVDs at Toys R Us? anyone done it?

Who throws them away? (Okay I threw out that free Disney Vacation DVD but that was about the worst thing I ever laid eyes on.) LosingmYMind ... 25 disc? Poor DVDs. Maybe some homeless guy will find them and trade them in for cash at Toys'r'us which brings up the real question ...

What is the exchange rate? How much do they give? $1 per DVD $4 per box set or is it a quarter per DVD and a dollar per box set? How much do they give? Can you get cash? Store credit? Gift cards? What?

I'll never do it. But some might.

I go through a bunch of DVD-Rs and CD-Rs. Some are bad burns, and others are just bad films (Antichrist).

I have them in a drawer because I feel guilty about throwing them into the waste stream. This TRU program sounds like just the ticket.

Re: Recycle DVDs at Toys R Us? anyone done it?

Okay, other than this thread I cannot find out anything about this online. Toys'R'Us site for video game trade-ins won't work with DVD searches ... yet via google search you can find a few like this ...

http://www.toysrustradeincenter.com/...roductid=51274

That's about the only example I can find.

I noticed that they only give a quarter for a brand new GBA game. It seems only the newest most expensive stuff gets you anything. So I am guessing all of those Big Lots DVDs would ring up a dime each ...

They wouldn't take my copy of Fast Times at Ridgemont High stating that it had been too "vigorously used".

LMAO! That's what they would have told LosingMyMind if he had brought in that porn. (Must have been some sorry porn to toss out 25 of them.)

JOE29 - when I Googled "donate dvds to troops" there are several places where you can donate dvds to troops - maybe a couple of the most popular being:

http://www.amvets.org/taskforcedvd
and
http://www.173rdairborne.com/showtime.htm
