Unfortunately, bitching and moaning and threatening to quit doesn't get you eliminated from the race. Hell, you can do that over and over and over and over and over (Flo) and still win. Still, I hope there isn't extreme bunching so there are actual consequences for their six hour penalty.

I wonder when they changed the detour penalty from 24 hours to 6 hours.

Yeah, but you have to talk other teams into doing that with you.

I kinda figured this was non-elimination considering the ridiculous airport bunch up. You can't tell me that the only flight was at 11pm unless they are forced to fly a certain airlines?

Nick needs to man up and quit bitchin'. This is the second time they got lucky with a non-elim leg, too bad it's wasted on them.

And I don't think I've ever disliked a contestant on this show -- and I've seen every season -- as much as I dislike this douche. (Sadly, based on how she reacted to him when he quit the task, I don't think she realizes how shitty this guy is to her.)

My guess is that there was one earlier in the morning so they held back Thomas and Jill's start time so they couldn't make it. If you notice they never say "...first to arrive, first to depart 12 hours later" anymore. They had a huge lead on the other teams.

I don't have as big a problem with that as I had with them allowing that team that was more than 24 hours behind catch up on All-Stars. For that to happen they had to invent some delays.

Apparently there was some religious holiday in Asia during All Stars production had not taken into account and some flights were completely booked and 2 of the teams were a good 36-48 hours behind the middle pack .Also Charla/Mirna were a good 12-14 hours ahead of the same middle pack and had to wait like 12-14 hours to take a ferry for "weather delays" when all the locale shots showed clear weather.

That leg and the next had a ton of artifical bunching to get everyone back to the same time.

Those two were absolutely sure it was a non-elimination leg. They never once mentioned "What if we're eliminated", only "I'd rather take the 6 hour penalty". Of course they were confident. Has there ever been a four-player leg that didn't precede a non-elimination one? As far as I've been watching, the first episode after five teams were decreased to four was always a bankable non-elimination episode.

Phil should have made them wait there on a bench for the next six hours before checking in. That would have been awesome.

Besides Nick being a whiny little bitch, I thought this was a fun leg. I've been to Hong Kong 5 times in the last 10 years and it's such a fun city to travel to. Really enjoyed Brook letting loose in the Karaoke restaurant. Also, I was really impressed with Nat and Kat. However, that douche bag Nick sucked the life out of the last 10 minutes of the episode.

I felt bad for Phil and the girl dressed in costume having to stay awake until 4am for Nick and Vicky.

I actually liked the fact that Nick and Vicky ended on a non-elim leg.

If nothing else so the TAR staff can give this edit for Nick and then essentially go "You want to go home? Ha! Guess what, we're keeping you longer and making you do even MORE tasks.

Give up on our competition like that will you?"

They probably have to keep the teams bunched up, otherwise production would become a logistical nightmare. If the teams got too spread out, they would have to keep the detours and roadblocks open for days at a time, not to mention you could potentially have teams checking into the pit stop in different countries at the same time.

Is it true that Brook and Claire are the first team that were U-Turned to survive? I remember a few seasons back a team u-turned a team that was ahead of them, but that doesn't count.

I just watched the episode.. and was not surprised that the Dbag quit.. Vicky is awesome.. and if she had a capable partner they would be in great shape...


and I'm quite pissed that it was a non elimination leg.. again!

Did anyone else catch when Brooke ran to the lady's room to puke, everyone in the restaurant behind her ran out of the way, fleeing in panic and horror. They looked like extras in a Godzilla movie!
