Anyone here also watch "iCarly" and other Nickelodeon live action shows?
Recently I've been getting into a lot of Nickelodeon shows. They're surprisingly addictive. I dunno why I avoided them before or why I suddenly started watching them now. However, I'm rather glad I have.
One of those shows is iCarly. Although (much like a lot of Nickelodeon shows) it has a habit of leaving certain subplots unresolved, I have a great time watching this show. It's just my kind of zany and random fun.
Check out the latest episode (which guest stars Jack Black):
Another good show is Victorious. It's also a great deal of fun and I like that there's a vague continuity between it and iCarly.
Anyhoo, here's one of my favorite episodes of this particular show:
Anyone else watching these lately? Or is it just me?

I find myself watching them occasionally in the afternoon when nothing else is on. They can certainly draw you in.

I don't watch anything on Nickelodeon, but I'll sometimes watch That's So Raven or Hannah Montana for shits and giggles.

What the hell is that? Bigfoot's retarded cousin?
Likewise. i've been watching them in bunches since Nickelodeon has been giving some mini-marathons (and regular marathons) of them lately. They're great time wasters and rather addictive.
It's also cool to see random cameos like Llliy Tomlin, Jack Black, and Jane Lynch pop up every so often.
Never got into That's So Raven but I do watch Hannah Montana. But that's a discussion regarding a different network.

I got a 7 year old sister so that's how I got into several Disney shows. I always watched Nick for their cartoons (way back when they used to show Duckula) but never gave their live action shows a shot until now. Clearly I was missing out cos they're also quite fun.

Holy hell, those two videos just played automatically and scared the hell out of everyone in this living room. I hate you.

My 7 y/o son loves those and Big Time Rush and watches them daily, luckily they are decent and I don't mind watching them. I wouldn't mind having a Penny Tee or two.

I've watched iCarly from time to time, it's not too bad.
That show and several other Nick shows are written and produced by the fat guy from Head of the Class.

I've never seen iCarly, but I find a lot of the Disney channels shows to be mind numbingly bad. However, I did think Lizzie McGuire was an ok show.

Ok, i have a quick question. my wife and i wont let our daughter watch iCarly. i myself havent seen much if anything of the show but my wife had caught a portion where i guess the girls were using the internet to meet and hookup with boys. i think kissing was 1 issue (cmon, she'e now 9. kissing still a no-no). anyway is this show overall different from what out intial impression is, or is it borderline at that age?

From what I've seen the show is about a group of kids with their own internet show. Sure they meet people on the internet once in a while, but it's all very harmless and silly, and sure, there are the episodes where they will swoon over one boy or another, it's nothing worse than say your daughter having a Justin Beiber poster on her wall.

I saw some of icarly a couple years ago when I had cable - good show.
I also liked "drake and josh" which cosgrove was also in. Early in the show, the guy who played Josh was a bit heavy but lost a lot of weight later on in the show -and also became less annoying. Both shows are just silly fun, nothing serious. Girl from warehouse 13 also played Josh's girlfriend.
iCan't stand hannah montana. I think "Life with Derek" was the only disney show I could stand, but disney did buy that from canada.
Never saw "Victorious", I'm sure it's good.

That blonde hellion friend (over 18), has a set of jugs on her. Plus the humor is good old silly escapist fun. At worst you have to tell the kids not to emulate Sam's behavior.
SO when the godkids want to watch iFroggy, there's a little something for them, and a little ( o )( o ) something for me.

My 7 year old daughter is a huge iCarly and Victorious fan. I must admit I kind of like the shows too - they're pretty funny (especially iCarly). The recent Jack Black one was excellent.

all of my girls are big Icarly and Victorious fans. I like Icarly a lot but am not the biggest Victorious fan( I prefer Wizards of Waverly Place and Sonny with a Chance, but that's on disney, not nick)
Actually had to stand in line for a few hours last January with my two youngest to meet Jennette McCurdy(Sam from Icarly). I was bummed they didn't let me bring in the bucket of KFC for her to sign(peoople who watch the show would get it). She was really nice and kept asking my 4 yr old about her ice cream shirt who was too starstruck to answer.
I just hate the way they treat new episodes like its the newest summer blockbuster release. That isn't really just those shows though, i think they do that with Spongebob and a lof their other shows as well.

Yeah. It's okay when they do it once in a while for specials but there hve been a lot of special episodes lately. May as well officially bump these shows to an hour since the half hour episodes are the ones that are now rare.
