I can't believe this show only gets 13 episodes. I'm worried this episode won't do well if everybody is already on holiday tonight.

That picture doesn't do her justice - she looked much better in the episode last week. She does have kind of a big nose (which I don't mind, but I guess a lot of guys do).

I too think it's running a risk of airing tonight with so many regular viewers not available. I'm DVR'ing myself, but only because I don't really watch anything live. I guess they thought it wouldn't make much sense to have it premiere then go on a two week hiatus.

Which begs the question - why not just wait until January after the Superbowl and run it for 13 straight weeks?

I know it's a matter of opinion, but I love Indira Varma, Chance's new financer (the one on the right). Been a fan of her since 3 ILBS on CBS a few years ago and recently on Luther on BBCA. Very unique looking....she's Indian, Swiss and born in the UK.

Re: Human Target -- "The Wife's Tale" -- 11/24/10

As for tonight's competition and it's ratings impact,

CBS: Survivor (new episode) -- Clip Show
ABC: The Middle/Better with You (new episodes)
NBC: Madagascar/Kung Fu Panda Specials

It could get 3rd place tonight in overall viewership and the demos, but that depends on the cartoons on NBC.

But, overall this is a way better timeslot than Friday's at 8pm, where it was originally supposed to die at.

Re: Human Target -- "The Wife's Tale" -- 11/24/10

It's been a pretty interesting episode so far with Chance and his moral predicament so far, but not really enjoying both ladies being back already.

Why do I get the feeling Pucci is either going to tattle or by the end realize she can "handle it"? And I hope this whole Guerrero/the kid thing isn't going to be as "heartwarming" as Guerrero gets by finally accepting her into the fold.

This just reeks of suits making decisions that will hurt the show, short and long term.

Boy, do I hope I'm wrong!

How long before they kill off the boss (and the thief) so Chance, WInston, and Guerrero can go back to being poor and bankrolling their missions via old contacts and well thought out (and some not so well thought out) schemes?

That's what made this show so enticing; the thought behind everything.

Now with "unlimited" resources from Ilsa Pucci, and her interjecting herself in everything, it feels like the death knell for this show. I really hope after she sees the emotional roller coaster this case was, she excuses herself and isn't seen more than one or two more (non-case) times this season because, much as I enjoy this show, tonight was pretty ridiculous at more than one point.

Yup. The billionaire boss was a dumb idea that should have been laughed off the brainstorming session. And Guerrero bonding with the thief made me gag. He should only care about Chance and have love/hate thing (almost like brothers) with Winston.

Yeah, the women really bugged tonight, especially the boss' constant interfering/nagging. To the point where it pretty much ruined the episode.

Loved the chase/shootout in the parking garage, though. That was fantastic.

Solid episode but the two female characters are beyond annoying.

The parking garage scene was fucking ace.

Was it just me and my television, or did everyone have a weird green hue to them during most of this episode?

I agree that the boss is kinda annoying

I still enjoy the other chick's role. Hell yea! Her acting sucks, but whatever....haha

That stunt with the assassin jumping off the car, doing a 360, and shooting the back window was awesome.

Re: Human Target -- "The Wife's Tale" -- 11/24/10

worst episode of the series by far. While I like both of the women, they are dragging the series down. The writing was ridiculous. The evil assassin badass can jump all over a parking garage, jump over moving cars, flip around and still "shoot" his target and miss, then stand like 10 feet away and miss! Then there was the cops coming in the science lab with a dude in direct eyeline but they don't see him get up off the floor, with a gun and run away. One mention of a storm door and suddenly "you killed him!" really? He gets shot and then is doing Tai Chi or whatever. There was much more stupidness. The show's never been about realism but this is the first episode that I thought why the hell am I watching this?

Bad News ratings wise. Human Target dropped.

5.6M viewers and 1.4 in the demos

Excuse me, while I go shoot a Nielsen viewer.

Everything was down last night though probably because it was pre-Thanksgiving and everyone's DVR's were recording instead of watching it live.

I can't believe a Madagascar cartoon repeat and Kung Fu Panda cartoon beat it.

Unless the show returns to its previous (and superior) format, good riddance.

Re: Human Target -- "The Wife's Tale" -- 11/24/10

I agree with every individual point you made, clemendo, but I'm still in wait and see mode. The only one that really had me thrown was the storm door leap of logic. They really needed to set that up better.

MLBFan24, I don't mind the Ames character so much as an individual, but everything they are doing with her is coming at the expense of the Guerrero character. They are severely undercutting him as a badass.

Well, I wouldn't go that far. I haven't seen this yet (will watch later today) I loved last season's format, but the show wasn't a ratings hit either. I don't know if it was really necessary to replace Jonathan Steinberg with Matt Miller as showrunner. But, I get that FOX and Warner Bros probably wanted to get more women to watch the show by adding Ames and Ilsa as the gung ho adrenaline pumping male action genre is not clicking with viewers. Women are a key demographic that advertisers court and it's hard for male action shows like this to get them as regular viewers. Hell, 24's ratings were down last season and it was the last of it's kind IMO. Even though I liked episode 1, it looks like Matt Miller has never watched the show judging by the continuity errors from the season premiere....I think the studio probably gave him a screener of the season finale as his background on the show.

Re: Human Target -- "The Wife's Tale" -- 11/24/10

This episode was not the best but I still enjoyed it. As others have noted....the two women in the show do not add anything worthwhile to the show. If anything...they take away from the show and everything the show built on last season.

And what did he do, use it as a coaster? Cos he even failed at correctly carrying over the cliffhanger of the finale with the exeption of Winston being kidnapped and there being a book (at least I think I spotted it in the season 2 premier).

I get there wanting to boost ratings but the show has been changed for the worse. And the few women I know that watch the show actually hate the new female characters and feel that they've emasculated the boys with the addition of the boss.

So if drawing in women viewers was their plan, they failed.
