I loathe Gwinny P and her attempt at being a country singer?. She has preruined this episode for me.
I will watch anyway, in hope that Brit and Santana will make out or something.

Not looking forward to Paltrow. It may end up being a decent ep with her in it, but I'm no fan of this woman.

Man, this episode was pretty bad. Figgins getting fired and Sue replacing him as Principal? Yeah, right. And Sue then replacing Will with a substitute teacher? Sure, whatever you say. Ridiculous episode, with mediocre numbers.
The "Forget You" performance was fun, but I wish they had picked a different song because it just doesn't sound right edited. Paltrow sounded pretty good on it though, better than I expected at least.
But overall, Paltrow felt grossly out of place. This is why stunt-casting very rarely works, because the person is shoe-horned into the episode, featured more prominently than the main cast, and is then gone as quickly as they came. It worked well with Neil Patrick Harris, Kristen Chenoweth, Idina Menzel because they were featured in a limited capacity, appeared during story arcs, and had a background in theatre that fit well in a show like this. I mean, did we really need THREE Gwenyth Paltrow songs?
At least it seems like Mark Salling is sticking around after the whole "controversy" with his band and promoting his new album.
---
There were some pretty funny lines though, especially toward the end.
Will: "Come on guys, there's gotta be a Journey song we haven't done yet!"
Will: "I've got good news...I've found a Journey song we haven't done yet!"
Puck: "Mr. Schue is the only teacher who has really touched me. Well, other than Mr. Ryerson."
Brittany: "I stopped after M and N. I thought they were too similar and got frustrated."
Holly: "Hi, I'm Holly Holiday."
Teri: "Are you a porn star or a drag queen?"

Episode was alright. I liked the performance of "Forget You" best. The others didn't do all that much for me. To me, the episode was saved by some of the lines quoted already here. Some pretty funny stuff there.

I thought this was a good episode. I like Gwyneth Paltrow's performance a lot more than I thought I would (well, ok, I didn't think I was going to like it at all).

Loved it. And though I'm not a big fan of classic musicals, the near shot for shot remake of Make Em Laugh was impressive.
Gwyenth was a lot of fun, songs were great, story was entertaining. no complaints here!

Yeah I was pleasantly surprised by Paltrow because she usually grates on my nerves, but this episode was entertaining... I liked Forget You, but it the editing did take away from it, and I thought the best line of the night was when Sue called Mercedes Jackee'

Fun dialogue, happy to see some energy return to the Glee club. The Kurt stuff is sort of dragging the show down, though.

No one mentioned Baby Brit: "When I grow up I want to go to the oeuvre"
Thoroughly enjoyed the ep and Gwynnie wasn't bad at all!
