I'll check this out -- primarily for the 80's setting. Hopefully it's better than the short-lived That 80's Show from several years back.

I'm mixed. I like the idea of an 80s themed college show, but the clips I've seen just don't have that 80s feel to me. 80s are sort of a problematic decade to represent... shows/films either go over the top with the 80s styles/references and make it a parody of the decade of sorts (The Wedding Singer, Hot Tub Time Machine), or they underplay it to the point where it barely feels like the decade at all (Adventureland). It seems like this show is the latter with a little bit of the former.

Watching this right now. Its been pretty good so far I'd say and I can see myself sticking around for the season. To me it feels like they've captured the 80s decently without totally over-doing it.

Alright, just finished watching and I'm not going to beat around the bush, that was fucking terrible.

Didn't laugh once. It was just filled with recycled elements from other college themed shows/movies. Besides using alot of 80's music and some cheesy 80's clothes, it didn't really even feel like the 80's.

The one annoying cliche was the lead kid liking the cute girl, who has the dickhead boyfriend. How many times has that been used before?

I can already say that I hate that really short dude, Eli, the virgin masturbator.

I'll give it 1 more week, but that was a pitiful start.

As a "Greek" fan, I didn't have high hopes for this show. Watched the first few minutes and then changed the channel. Yea, I didn't give it a chance.


And then later on while channel surfing, I turned it back to this show and it was the Asian nightclub scene. Ok, I'll admit I was laughing pretty hard at that part, since I'm Asian. But then I turned the channel again.

For college themed TV comedies, Greek is it.

Jesus Christ, could TBS leave more shit up on the screen during the show? It felt like I was watching a screener. I won't be back. To the network or the show.

Yeah if your looking for a college themed 1 hour dramedy, rent Greek or watch it on Hulu. Good looking girls and compelling characters. None exemplified here. It's no wonder TBS was never known for developing good original shows.

Thanks for posting. I usually give new shows a few episodes to see if they worth watching for an entire season.

Thought it was pretty horrible that one of the characters was wearing a "Cahallan Auto Parts" t-shirt when they announced to the pledges that they were receiving a bid. I didn't realize Tommy Boy came out in 1986. Even worse was the fact that they edited out the words on the shirt in the very next scene.

Wow. And you like everything.

I liked it. It's certainly not the funniest show, but I found it mildly entertaining. Maybe it's my age.

The non-sequitur was the cops having tasers.

I like everything? C'Mon man. Give me a little more credit than that. Are you trying to give me a hard time because I like Hawaii Five-O, One Tree Hill and Blue Bloods more than you (I know you don't watch most of the shows I post about) ? but if something isn't great I will say it. This show's premiere blew. And I wasn't happy with some recent episodes of Glee and you saw my comment about The Event from Monday.

I've just never seen you say something is "terrible," "fucking terrible" no less. That's far more demonstrative than "isn't great."

Boy, did they need a continuity editor. Some things I noticed:

Talking Heads "True Stories" wasn't released until October 1986.

Hand Tasers weren't developed until 1994.

Grocery stores would not have sold videotapes in 1986, and certainly not for $14.95 each.

Anyone else see any other anachronisms?

It was alright. Way to many similarities to 'Greek', but I'll continue to DVR it. Kevin Nealon is on next week, so I won't be missing it.

it took a few minutes to get going, but once it did i thought it was pretty terrific. liked the characters and the jokes worked. will def. be sticking around.
