The Walking Dead -- "Tell it to the Frogs" -- 11/14/10
By djariya at 2010-10-31
Synopsis:
Spoiler:
Episode 3 of 6
Written by Frank Darabont, Charles Eglee, Jack LoGiudice
Directed by Gwyneth Horder-Payton
Looking forward to it as usual. Loving how the show threads for this series are getting some very different opinions through only 2 weeks. I know some of you find the really harsh criticisms from some here to be annoying (not going to use the word complaining), but please respect their opinions and let them speak their minds. Alot of threads in this forum don't get 8 or more pages of discussion, so the more people who participate the better. It's entertainment and not everyone here is going to like the same shows, even for a cult favorite comic inspired show like this.

looking forward to it!
and honestly, it's just good to see so many people moving about downtown atlanta. it's usually such a ghost town.

Just finished the first volume of the comic last night. I wonder if they will keep the ballsy ending they had at the end of the first one this season?

I just noticed the redneck dude's brother is from the Boondock Saints.
At least somebody from that movie is doing SOMETHING else

Another excellent episode and surpassed Terriers as my favorite new show. Loved the fleshing out of the characters. I thought the redneck wanted to use the hacksaw to cut the chain, not his hand off. Makes you wonder how he got rid of the walkers trying to get him, especially one handed. As for the guns, there is a bag with ammo and 20-some guns in one spot. It shouldn't be too hard to trick the walkers again. Gun shops would be stripped down by this point in the story.

This was an hour of soap opera with too little zombie stuff. The weakest episode yet.
I just noticed that's the 'won't someone see a lady home' actress from 'The Mist'.
Been a while since I've seen a car 'burn rubber' on a dirt road...

Rick pointed out that the primary reason to pick up the bag was that his walkie talkie to communicate with Morgan was in there.

Man this is moving along slow. Only 1/2 the season left. When will the 2nd season officially begin?

Man, this show really grinds to a fucking halt when there's no zombie shit going on, doesn't it?
For future seasons, I'd like to see them address any of these 7 reasons why a zombie outbreak would quickly fail.

All the dings and bangs zombies will suffer after tripping, walking off of bridges and stumbling around on dark cloudy nights will eventually leave them limbless, toothless and with every bone in their body broken. Seriously, in the event of the Zombie Apocalypse, just stay inside, watch all the episodes of 24 back to back, then walk out on your lawn with your Corpse Rake and tidy up (you will have to buy a Corpse Rake, however, if for some reason you don't already have one).
